Wake Up

Lindsay woke up to gasps as she looked around. There were about four people in the room. Two of them were guys, though one looked much older than the other. The other two were girls, though, like the guys, there was a big age difference.
None if them seemed very firmiliar. They all were staring at her with mixed emotions. Their expressions had most of the emotions, but their eyes had some secretive ones that Lindsay couldn't quite put her finger on.
There was a very long silence as Lindsay tried to take in everything. Finally, the older woman spoke gently to her. It was as if the woman were treating her like she was thin glass that would break under the slightest touch.
Her words were as soft and gentle and seemed to be as warm as if they were the sand that you step on at the beach. They were warm and cozy words.
The woman slowly but surely walked to the medical bed. She leaned in just a little bit, making sure Lindsay had enough room to breath without freaking out.
"Lindsay..." the woman breathed as though she finally had the corage to speak up.
"Lindsay, honey, would you please look at me in the eyes?" She took her eyes away from the bed sheets she had tugged on since she woke up.
Lindsay met her eyes and it was if she were staring at the ocean. It was that part of the ocean that you can't see past. The kind that gets darker every step you take.
Lindsay couldn't take her eyes away from that dark sea blue. The woman spoke again.
"Do you know who I am, Lin?"
Lindsay shook her head slowly as if she were afraid to move too much. "No," she croaked.
The woman was the one to break eye contact first and she walked away from the bed, staring at the floor. She took her seat on the white chair next to the older man. Perhaps they were a couple.
The younger girl sitting next to them stayed quiet. She watched as the older woman layed her head on the mans broad shoulder.
The younger boy, probably about the same age as Lindsay, turned towards her. He had this very sad, but somehow hopeful look on his face. He got up and walked toward her. She noticed that he had dark circles under his eyes.
He walked a but faster than the other woman, but it wasn't too fast. He sat down beside her and their eyes met almost instantly. That look instantly gave her butterflies in her stomach. He smiled a sad smile which made the butterflies go quiet.
He took her hand, which somehow she felt okay with, and opened his mouth to speak.
"Linsay... I missed you so much."
She froze. It was that voice. The voice that pulled her away. The voice that was desperate for her to wake up. The one that FORCED her to wake up.
She felt sick to her stomach and this time it wasn't because of the butterflies.
