Getting Started

When I realised my luggage was already upstairs I walked up, following Hector who persisted to escort me to my room. The stairs were spiral, but big. They were made of a dark wood and the railing was intricate. I was awed by the house, it was more amazing then what my father explained it as. When we got to the top, I realised something was wrong, it seemed way too big for what the outside structure looked like. When we got to the top, across from us were book shelves, to the left was a bedroom and a hallway which seemed to be leading into another part of the house. I glanced to the right and what caught my attention was that there were 4 more rooms, all behind closed doors,"Wow, the upstairs seems quite big, strange seeing the outside of the house seems tall and skinny", I said as I was still looking around the beautifully put together upstairs,"Yes, of course I put a spell on the house. The downstairs is also much bigger, we have a third floor too,but that's my study place, not even Lucie and Jasper are allowed in without permission", he replied as he opened the door to a small, but nice room. It had a walk in closet to the left, and in front of it was a bed and low shelves surround the room, there were also two windows to the left and straight across from me. I thanked him for showing me to my room and I asked about the bathroom, I needed to clean myself off and get changed,"The bathroom is the first room to the left, your luggage is in the closet",.

It was early summer, the weather was warm so I opened the windows. As I did, the fresh smell of warm salty air came into my room, it was almost nostalgic in a way. The view was breath taking, I could see the port and the fish market from the main centre window of the room.
I got into the bathroom and cleaned off, I got back into my room and picked out some clothes to wear. I went back downstairs to Jasper and Lucie, they were so kind. Jasper was hanging out in the hall, he was reading a book about divination, I couldn't stop myself from asking him,"Are you a fortune teller?", he looked up and replied with a simple,"yes", he then a few moments later added,"It's my special ability, Lucies is transfiguration and Hectors is Flight, if you practice sorcery you'll find yours too", I was stunned and as I was about to ask where the kitchen was, Lucie barged and said,"Hello new boy, I hear your name is Theo, I'm Lucie", I smiled back and told her I was pleased to meet her. She took my wrist and brought me into the kitchen where Hector was making breakfast, it was scrambled eggs with a side of a flaky croissant. The eggs gave out a gorgeous aroma that compromised the sweet scent of the croissants.
"Hey I see you're cleaned up and ready to eat?", Hector said as he brought the flame down and began platting the food.
"Lucie,Jasper food is ready", he added as the two wizards almost flew into the room with excitement.
"Aww yes my favourite", Lucie applauded as she sat down. We all began to eat this delicious looking breakfast, Hector stood up as he said "oops almost would've forgotten", he began to ask us what we would like to drink, he served himself a warm cup of tea and everyone wanted the same.
"We'll be going up to training soon, you wanna join us?", Lucie asked me as a puzzled look grew on my face,"Training what?", I asked, as Hector replied,"Sorcery, they my apprentices, I teach them magic, you should know that",
I suddenly realised how stupid I was to forget that, I was urged to ask Hector to teach me a bit, but I hesitated,"I feel so dumb, I knew all along but I completely forgot just now, actually I was too young for my dad to teach me any Sorcery before he left so I never got to learn it", I told the crew, as they all looked surprised "your father was one of the best Wizards around, I think you deserve to learn his craft", Hector replied as he stood up and exclaimed "I'll make you into a fine wizard Theo"
