I was walking down that familiar path as the February wind flew by. A cold breeze brought me a sense of warmth. I smiled as I stood at that familiar railing I had come to so many years ago. Now eighteen years old I look back on that young eleven years old and wonder, Just how good my life turned out since them. I watched the sun slowly start to set. I jumped over the rail and sat down. I was a peace when I ever I was here. This place was really where it all began for me, where my life truly stared. For years I watched my brother from the sidelines lying to me and accepting that fact. I don't have to worry about that anymore, it was like a weight on my chest had finally been lifted. I had grown more serious over the years and more mature. But I never lost my fiery nature and my headstrong attitude. I laughed a cynical laugh at myself.
"So this is what it has come to," I said aloud because no one would hear me. I watched as the sun continued to get lower. The sun's illumination had almost gone out and the most beautiful orange- pink color clouded the sky. I sighed I made a choice to retire home one the sun's gaze left the night sky. Waited was pointless, you can't force something that wasn't meant to be. I was about to turn around early when a cool sensation surrounded me and not long after strong arms wrapped around my waist and I felt a chin on my head. We just stayed silent as we both watched the sunset. I leaned closer to him and he intertwined our fingers together. I felt the tie from my hair being pulled and soon enough my long dark curly locks fell and went down to my waist. They blew in the wind slightly. I turned around just before darkness overtook the sky. And for the first time in many months, my dark grey eyes met piercing teal eyes. I stared at that ivory hair that reminded me of the first frost.
I cupped his cheeks and slammed my lips against his. He hands immediately went to my lower half and squeezed lightly. My hands moved to his hair and brought him closer. It didn't last very long and it wasn't a mind-blowing kiss like others but it wasn't lacking in passion. We both pulled away and I wrapped my arms around his neck. He held a gaze that was a mixture of a smirk and a genuine smile but not quite but it was definitely Toshiro.
"Nice to see you too." He said and his gaze had morphed into a smirk.
I rolled my eyes. "Your still as cocky as ever," I said defiantly.
He rolled his eyes as well. "You still as headstrong as you ever were." He said gripping my lower half a little tighter.
I moved in closer to him and closed my eyes again. It was short and sweet but it always set my heart and mind ablaze. I pulled back and grabbed his hand and pulled him.
"You don't have to drag me like some child." He said softly.
I rolled my eyes again and we walked toward my home. We walked for awhile and soon enough we stood in front of the door. I reached for the handle but it swung open revealing my very excited father.
"My second son had come for a visit how are you Toshiro, my boy." My father said excitedly and he patted Toshiro on the back.
"Lay off dad," I said and pushed past him through the door. I pulled Toshiro with me and we walked through the door. I walked in and the room was decorated in pink and red and white everything. I sighed at the exaggeration of it all. I saw Yuzu in the kitchen with Jinta helping her. Ichigo was sitting with Rukia. And Renji was talking with Chad, Uryu, and Orihime.
"Karin your back," Ichigo said and he looked passed me to Toshiro. "And you found Toshiro while you were out to. I wondered when he would come find you he's been he since yesterday." Ichigo said with a smirk.
I stopped dead in my track and turn to Toshiro. He gulped nervously and I glared at him. "Since yesterday you say Ichigo?" I questioned.
"Yup all the shinigami have been here since yesterday," Ichigo exclaimed.
