The Proposal (JiBea - Completed)

- BEA'S POV -

"Saturday. It's gonna happen on Saturday."

Jho's words keep on repeating in my mind the past days and I couldn't help but feel kilig everytime.

Before we separate ways the other day, sinabi niya na the next times na mag-drama ako sakanya ng ganun, iisipin niya na niya palagi na pina-prank ko lang siya. And then nag-dramahan na kami how time flies and how our friendship survived over the years. Mostly because pinagtyatyagaan niya daw kasi ako. 🙄😂

What I also realized the past days is that tama si Jho. Not about dun sa pinagtyatyagaan niya ako, but dun sa sinabi niya na people love Jia and I together. My family. Jia's family. Our friends. Kitang-kita 'yun not only with the way they support Jia with this proposal, but also with our relationship in general.

I remember how two years ago, when the same-sex marriage was finally legalized. Nagpa-party pa talaga ang friends namin for us. We're really one lucky couple.

They maintain a good relationship with us as JiBea. Pero what we never fail to make sure of is that we're still Jia and Bea.

I've been getting more hints the past few days.

Two days ago, sinamahan ko si Ana mag-shopping. Well, the original plan was sasamahan siya ni Jia, pero biglang nagkaron siya ng meeting sa work niya. So nag-favor siya saken na ako nalang sumama kay Ana. The thing was, mas pinipilian pa ako ng damit ni Ana kesa sakanya? Then she forced me to buy a blue dress.

I told Ana na marami pa akong damit sa bahay na hindi nasusuot. Sagot lang niya, "Bea, 'wag ka na marami tanong. Magagamit mo rin 'yan, trust me!"

Tapos yesterday, my dad asked me to clear my Saturday evening schedule. Meron daw party 'yung possible partners namin sa company and kailangang present kami.

I ask him kung saan gagawin, sabi niya nakalimutan daw niya. Pero 'yung attire, hindi niya nakalimutan. And guess what it is? Blue dress. Napailing nalang talaga ako habang nangingiti. Of all the details that Dad would remember.

I am not as fashionable as other girls, pero kung medyo formal pala 'yung magiging party bukas, I can't wait to see how Jia will look like tomorrow. Last time she did, it made my jaw dropped eh.
