I read those messages flash on my lockscreen one by one. So my hunch is true, she's gonna propose in front of my family and friends.

Feeling ko, these messages should be on a different chat thread, pero na-wrong send si Wong and akala nung iba ito 'yung ginawa nilang alternate chat group. I confirmed it when biglang nag-flood ng message si Jia sa group. Followed by the others.

Napailing nalang ako habang natatawa, pero hindi ko pa rin ginalaw 'yung phone ko and medyo nilayo siya sa saken. Tinuloy ko lang 'yung tina-type kong report sa laptop ko.

Actually, nasa labas lang ng office si Jia. We're going to have lunch together. Hinihintay niya ako pero nagpaalam siya na makikipagkwentuhan muna sa secretary ko.

Kasabay ng pagsabi ko sa isip ko ng 1, bumukas ang pinto ng opisina ko, at tumakbo si Jia palapit saken. There's panic all over her face. I see her let out a sigh of relief when she sees that I am not holding my phone. Then kinuha niya bigla 'yung phone ko.

"Uh, hon, phone ko 'yan?" I say habang pinipigilan ko 'yung pagngisi.

I honestly don't care if she makes pakelam on my phone, and I told her that before, pero Jia still always asks for my permission first kapag gagamitin niya phone ko. I like how respectful she is in giving me my own space. She's clingy, pero she knows where to draw the lines.

Tinaasan ako ng kilay ni Jia. "Akala ko ba 'what's yours is mine'? May tinatago ka ba dito? Kaya ka ba nagpapaganda palagi the past days?"

I see her act like she's looking for something, pero I know she's actually deleting the messages in the chat thread. Binigay niya saken 'yung phone ko after, "Oh sayo na. Sige na i-text mo na 'yung babae mo."

I chuckle and pulls Jia close to me kaya napaupo siya sa lap ko. Sobrang kilig na kilig na talaga ako sa mga pinaghahandaan niyang paandar. "Ikaw lang babae ko," sagot ko, then I kisses her softly in the lips.

- JHO'S POV -

Hindi na ako nagulat nung biglang sumulpot sa office namin si Bea kanina. Malapit lang kasi 'yung building ng company nila sa office namin. She's helping Tito Elmer manage the construction company.

Ako naman, industrial designer in one of the best sporting brand in Manila. At least kahit hindi na ako nag-vo-volleyball, related pa rin sa sports 'yung field ko.

She usually drops by in the afternoon, tapos aayain niya akong mag-merienda somewhere. Buti nalang flexi-time kami so nakakasama ako sakanya. Or minsan dumadaan lang talaga siya para mamigay ng kung anu-anong food. What a sweet and galante friend talaga.

What's unusual is how she looks today. She's wearing a dress and has a full make-up on. She rarely does that on a regular day.
