*Derek's POV*
I ran inside the room where I've heard the screaming arrive from. I kicked the door wide open, analyzing the situation. I was immediately put speachless. The scene in front of me was devastating.
-"Aiyana," I whispered, jogging up to her. She was laying on the table, completely drained of powers. The cut across her stomach was trying to heal, but it didn't seem like she had the power for it.
I looked up towards Chris, and he too seemed devastated.
-"You guys need to leave. T-Take the kid up to safe grounds," I said, looking over at Melissa. I'm happy I didn't prevent her from coming down here after all...
-"I am not leaving her here," Chris snapped, walking up to me and Aiyana.
-"Sure, but can you get up all alone?" I asked, pointing at the lady.-"I-I think so, yes. I'll get going and head to the hospital at once. Good luck," Melissa said before she jogged away with the child in her hands. I signed, looking back at Aiyana.
-"Y-You got anything for the pain?" Chris asked, laying pressure on a wound. One cut above the arm is nothing compared to having your stomach cut open...
-"No.. I-I can take it," Aiyana whispered back, closing her eyes. Her pained expression was horrible for me to look at..-"It's for me," Chris muttered and took a step back. Aiyana shot her eyes open, looking over at Chris. I bit my lip, looking away. Now this just turned awkward.
Suddenly a pair of footsteps caught my attention, and I looked towards the door. Seconds after, Scott ran through alongside Peter.-"What do you guys want?" I snapped, walking towards them. Peter only looked behind me.
-"Where's mom?" Scott asked, noticing that she wasn't here with us anymore.-"She ran up with their kid. Listen," I whispered as I dragged the two of them further away from the other two. "She can't heal the wound. She's far too drained of energy. You two must gather everyone back outside, okay? I'll let her rest some more before those doctors manages to catch out scent. We have a deal? Good, run."
I stared at the two of them as they walked back outside, running each their direction. Well, this mission turned into a complete failure.
-"Chris, you know that you're not safe down her," I said, walking back up to them. Aiyana's blood was starting to fall down to the floor. As long as the Dread Doctors doesn't catch us, it should be just fine.
-"I am aware, but..." he began to say, but he stopped. He had no argument as of why to remain here.
-"You should go back up. Your kid needs you. I'll make sure she gets back up, okay?"
-"I... Okay, but you take care of her," Chris snapped before he headed towards the door.-"I'll do my best," I replied as I grabbed her hand. I stared at my hands as the veins blackened, her pain moving over to me. I grunted once the pain hit me, closing my eyes as well. Afterwards I let go of her hand, opening my eyes again. I took her pain, but it just.. stopped.
-"Aiyana?" I whispered, staring at her. Her eyes were closed, her hand fell limp down towards the table, her body not moving anymore. She's not breathing anymore...
*Chris' POV*
I jogged up to the door, pushing my way through it. I stared at the night sky, the clean air hitting me. I can't believe Aiyana was dragged down here by that asshole. When I get my hands on Deucalion, he'll be regretting everything.
I stared at Scott and the others. Everyone was outside, except for Derek and Aiyana. I shook my head, walking towards the others. I can't have a child, not without her.
