"I have to go." He signed to you.

"Why? What about us?" You signed.

"There is nothing here for me. Kelly I have to go." He signed.

"Dan if you leave I will never forgive you." You signed.

"Kelly huh?" Shay asked Dan.

"Yeah." He breathed.

"You're drinking her favorite drink." Shay said.

"Tequila." Dan answered taking another swig.

"You know we go back to Colorado in a few weeks." Shay said.

"She probably doesn't even remember me." Dan said.

"You never know." Shay said walking away.

Dan sat there drinking the rest of the bottle. He remembered all the times he had with you. The laying by the fire and you teaching him sign language. Your memory haunts him everyday. He wished he would have asked you to come with him. He thought you would have loved Nashville and being on the road. The day he left still stays in his brain. The words 'I will never forgive you' rang in his head.

You hadn't forgot about Dan. He was still in your memory. You remembered every feature every laugh you shared. You would drink and it would all come flooding back.

FEW WEEKS LATER

Dan returned to that small town in Colorado. He decided to go into the bar you both used to go in.

"Tequila please." He told the bartender.

"You and the lady have good taste." The man said.

Dan looked over and saw the familiar blonde. Hr walked over to you and tapped your shoulder. You turned around and smiled.

"Dan." You signed.

"Kelly." He signed back.

"I missed you." You signed.

"So did I." He signed.

"How have you been?" You signed.

"Good, music has been going well. I actually wrote a song about you." He signed smiling.

"Tequila." You said.

"You can hear now?" He asked.

"Yes, I had the surgery about a year ago." You said.

"You have a beautiful voice." He said.

"So do you." You said.

"When I taste Tequila baby I still see you." He sang softly.

"Me too." You said.

"Will you come with me this time I can't leave you again." He said.

"How about we have a drink and then we will talk about that." You said.

"Sounds good, Tequila." He said.
