I woke up to rain hitting my window. It was another rainy day. Most people don't like rain because it depresses them but I love rain. I believe rain is beautiful and it should be appreciated more. I proceeded on getting dressed and walking to the kitchen for a bite to eat.
"RING!" went my cell phone. "Hey Hazel what's up?" I asked as I ate my cereal.
"Do you work tonight?" asked Hazel on the phone.
"Yeah I work 2-10, why?" I asked.
"I was wondering if you wanted to go to Trinity for Isaac's 35th birthday?" Trinity is a night club in downtown Seattle.
"Aren't we a little old to be going to clubs?" I asked jokingly. Isaac loves to dance, so it was probably his idea to go there.
"Oh shut up, see you at 11." Hazel laughed as she hung up the phone. I chuckled as I hung up and washed my cereal bowl. I had to go to the store today to pick up my medicine. I walked downstairs of my apartment building and was luckily enough to get a taxi right as I stepped outside. After about 15 minutes I arrived at the store. It was pretty chilly for it being May. I walked inside the store and hurried to my section. Even though my condition wasn't well known to my knowledge, oddly enough, they sold my medicine at the store. As I was picking out my medicine I heard a laugh behind me. I turned around to see a man I had never seen before.
"Excuse me?" I said as the bottle of medicine was gripped in my fist.
"Sorry, I just couldn't believe you were actually buying that." said the man as he pointed to my fist.
"And you were watching me why?" I asked as I put the bottle of medicine in my basket.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that it was illegal for a man like me to notice such a beautiful woman in a store."
"Where did you get that line? A cereal box?" I said as I rolled my eyes.
"A feisty one isn't she?" winked the man as he reached over me to grab the same kind of medicine as me. "Anyway, I'm Logan Andrews, and you are?" he said as he held out his hand waiting for me to shake it.
"Not telling you my name," I said as I walked past him ignoring his hand.
"So tell me, what makes you take that medicine? Don't you think it's fate that we both take the same kind?" asked Logan as he followed me to the counter.
"Fate does work in mysterious ways," I said sarcastically as I put the medicine bottle onto the counter. I paid for my medicine and walked out the door to wave down a taxi.
"Look, you and me, I like the way that sounds. Why don't I take you out for coffee?" asked Logan as he followed me outside, also to wave down a taxi.
"That sounds nice" I said as I got into the taxi I waved down.
"Really?" asked Logan looking a little surprised.
"Yeah, why don't you pick me up at "Not Gonna Happen Street"?"
"Very funny," smiled Logan as the cab started to drive away. "We're meant to be girl from the store!" yelled Logan as I rolled up my window so the rain wouldn't get inside the cab.
