Chapter 6
Trent’s POV
Ugh, Mr. Sterns (My science teacher) already hates my guts. All through class he picked on me how I was flirting with girls and how I need to focus on this and do that. My mind went back into first period, seeing Lauren’s smile made me want to smile all the time. It was like her smile produced happiness for all to see. I think I already had a crush forming on her. Sighing, I doodled on my new science journal as I tried to block our Mr. Sterns’ boring speech how we all should go to college and get good jobs, make money and stuff. Does he honestly think were stupid? I glanced at the clock, but it hasn’t been a minute since I’ve looked at it. To make matters worse, one of the cheerleaders in here have already tried to flirt with me.
“Mr. Davis, care to repeat what I just said?” Shit I’m already in so much trouble. I looked up with a boyish grin tugging at my lips. “Uh, no sir I wasn’t paying attention.” Mr. Sterns grumbled something under his breathe and walked off, annoyed obviously. Satisfied, I smirked and leaned back on my stool, then rocked forwards, then backwards. Yeah you get the idea.
“Psst. Hey.” I looked over to Mindy Willis, the cheerleader hitting on me. She winked at me trying to be sexy but it just looked like she had something in her eye. I fought the urge to laugh at her. Then she slid something over to me, a folded sheet of paper. I unfolded it revealing her phone number. She wrote ‘call me sometime?’ with a winky smiley face. Gross, all she wants from me is to bang her. When I was done I looked over and smiled one of my nice smiles and she bit her lip. I love when girls bit their lip, but not Mindy. It was not sexy on her, like it was for Lauren. Wait, did I just say that? Crap! The ringing of the bell in my ears clouded my thoughts instantly as I jumped from my seat. Praise God for getting me out of this shithole they call a classroom. I also ran out afraid Mindy would try to seduce me or some nonsense.
I went to my locker to put up my science book, almost regretting showing up as I saw the big crowd full of cheerleaders standing right next to me. So Lauren wasn’t lying. Joy. Being calm, I stood in front of my locker and turned the dial to the right combinations. I pulled on the handle, sliding my door open. Just as I swapped my health book for my science, someone’s hands slid to my waist, and an ear against my lips. “So you’re the new boy.” The voice was soft and gave me cold chills, not in a good way. I turned to see a blonde girl with light blue colored eyes and smiling at me. I’ll admit, she was pretty, but not drop dead gorgeous and clearly out of my league.
“Oh, um yeah that’s me.” I answered her statement, technically I realized she wasn’t making it a question. Her arm never let go of my waist and she seemed to get closer. “What’s your name new boy?” She licked her lips.
“Trent.” I really wanted to tell her to leave me the hell alone but she’d probably slap me or whatever. She twirled a strand of her curly hair with her long finger. “Trent, Trent. I love that name.” She whispered.
“Oh, thanks… what’s yours?”
“I’m Hailey, head cheerleader. I heard you met Mindy. She’s cool, but I see you more as a blonde type huh?” She raised her eyebrows. “Listen I have to go downstairs to health, maybe I can talk to you later? Maybe at lunch or maybe you have a class with me? I’m sorry.” Ignoring her question, I slipped out of her arm and she allowed. “See you new boy.” She kissed my neck, biting a tiny bit before she walked away from me, heels clamping along the tile. Can you say ugh? I literately went to the bathroom and washed my neck off.
