Chapter 11

Trent’s POV

It all happen so fast, but yet it was like everything happened in slow motion. Lauren stood up rubbing her head when all of a sudden she fell forward and crumpled to the ground. “Noah get Ryan out of here and call 911.” I said calmly but inside I was screaming, freaking out and truly terrified for Lauren. Our fun little game was far forgotten. I turned her over and honestly began to have a panic attack. What was I supposed to do? Wake her up?

I checked to see if she was breathing by putting her lips to my ear. Her breathes were short and rapid.. That wasn’t good. “Noah call the damn police.” I gritted through my teeth. I looked to Lauren who laid motionless on the floor. What do I do? I asked God silently in my head. As if he answered me, Lauren jolted awake and laid there staring at the ceiling. “Lauren!” She furrowed her eyebrows and winced. “I cant see. My head hurts. My body aches. What’s going on Trent.” I felt like I was swallowing nails or something. Was there something seriously wrong with her?

“We got the police coming, were taking you to the hospital.” She freaked when she heard this. “No! I cant ever pay for my medical bill! What were you thinking? Oh god and dad is going to-” she cut off and squeezed her eyes and massaged her head. “Here.” I removed her hands gently and rubbed her head for her. A small smile formed on her face but then tears rolled down her cheeks. “I fainted didn’t I?” I nodded but forgot her vision was blurry. “Yeah.”

“Did… did he see?” I knew she meant Ryan. I swallowed and bit my lip. “Yeah.” I felt her body shake under me as she tried to hold back tears. She didn’t have to be so strong, she didn’t need to hold it all in. I knew she was trying to be happy for her brother but still. “Noah has him, I think he’ll take him somewhere like a movie. Their here.” I went to the door where the paramedics were knocking rapidly. They rushed to the house and put Lauren onto a stretcher. They moved her out of the house and into an ambulance. Noah came into view holding Ryan on his back. “Take Ryan somewhere, I don’t think she wants him to see her like this.” Noah nodded and rushed out the door. I ran outside and hopped into my car following Lauren’s ambulance.

That was the longest ride of my entire life. I just wanted to see Lauren okay again. She was healthy like the coach said, so why is this happening? I parked my car and ran into the hospital doors as they slid past me. There was a lady at the front desk and I went towards her. “Lauren Andrews, what room is she in?” I said too fast. The lady looked at me and shook her head. “I’m sorry sir but there not allowing visitors yet. Not until they run tests and get her stabled.” Stabled? She was just talking to me at the house. “What do you mean stabled? She was fine at her house.”

“Sir she had a seizure in the ambulance and their trying to get her stable. You can sit in our waiting room and I will let you know when you can see her.” I couldn’t move, but somehow I was walking to the chairs and sat down. She had a seizure. There has to be something wrong. But what? The not knowing part was killing me, and seeing her in pain was more pain for me to see. Why couldn’t I just go in there and hold her damn hand when she’s scared? She’s bound to be scared as hell! I covered my face in my hands only hoping they’d call for me soon.

“Mr. Davis, its finally good to meet you.” I raised my head out of my hands to see a man walking to me, his face full of sweat. He was wearing a police uniform and the name “Andrews” was sewn to his shirt. It must be Lauren’s dad. We shook hands and I forced a smile. “The pleasure is mine sir.” He sat down next to me and wiped his face with his hand.
