Judge: You are sentenced to life in prison.

My lawyer: What about bail?

Judge: Possible bail. We will let you know in the next hearing.

My lawyer: ....

The Policeman puts the handcuffs on me and walks me out of the room. We entered a long hallway and continued walking.

Me: Well this is gonna be fun.

Policeman: What are you talking about?

Me: Going back to prison.

Policeman: Going to prison isn't supposed to be fun. It's supposed to teach you a lesson.

Me: Don't worry it does.

Policeman: What have you learned the last time?

Me: What not to do and how to do it.

Policeman: Well, apparently you didn't pay attention to the lesson. You're going back to jail.

Me:( thought: that's what you think. This is all just part of my plan) But I also learned that not all policemen treat you like criminals.

Policeman:......

Me: I've heard stories, about how they treat the people that are going to jail, but you've been nice to me just like last time. Why?

Policeman: When people go to jail...... I want them to have their last look at kindness before they go...

We stop at the door.

Me: So some policeman do have harts.

Policeman: They all do. They just choose not to show it.

He opens the door and walks through it. All you can see was bright lights. I stood in place trying to focus my eyes but he pulled my chains and forced me to continue walking.

Me: Damn light.

And here comes the press. Which means here comes the questions, the cameras, the pushing and more flashing lights.

Press1: Miss. Sanders. Did you really kill those two people?

Press2: Were you really raised by animals?

Press3: Did you kill your parents when you were six years old?

Press4: Do you think your final judgment was fair?

Policeman: All right out of the way prisoner coming through.

The Policeman fought his way through the crowd of press while pulling my chains forcing me to follow as we made our way to the bus.

Look, I know I'm jumping ahead of myself so let me explain what happened from the beginning. I was in jail before all of this started. I was in for stealing from a wealthy businessman. But to tell you the truth if they had all that money, I would have never guessed that it would take several months for them to find me. And for that, I was spending a year in jail when my brother came to visit me.

Flashback

????: Hey Nicole..how you been?

Me: Ok I guess, it's better than being back home with the folks. How are they?

????: Yeah. Dad doesn't trust mom and mom doesn't give a damn. They both do what they want. Cousin Meg still running from the cops.

Me: Still selling drugs?

????: Yep.
