The patter of footsteps could be heard over the blaring of sirens, Helicopters, and policemen shouting orders.

"KID!!!" Inspector Nakamori stood in the mouth of a dark hallway, pointing furiously at a teenager wearing white in the room before him.

The room was dimly lit, the corners were rounded and old paintings of people lined the walls. An old jewel had been passed down to each of those in the paintings, though the one in possession never really cared for the jewel. But now that chain was broken as a Phantom has chosen to claim what was never cared for. In the middle of the room was an empty glass case, and a the boy wearing white with a mischievous smile, was holding a pale pink quartz that had been carved and polished.

"I'm surprised Inspector, no traps today?" The boy asked in a humored tone. he threw the jewel into the air and caught it.

Inspector Nakamori's face went from angry and distressed to triumphant in a surprisingly short amount of time, "Don't be hasty Kid, I still have my trump card." he grinned like a mad man.

The boy Nakamori calls Kid looked around, "What is it? An ambush? Gas? Electricity?" Kid questioned him with as much zest as if he were guessing the contents of birthday presents.

Nakamori chuckled. "Hey you!" he snapped at a officer that was standing behind him. "Go get Detective Mouri's boy, AND QUICKLY!"

"Y-Yes Sir!" The officer responded hastily and sprinted off. Kid looked after him, he had a feeling he knew who he was going to be dealing with.

"So, Inspector.. While we wait do you want to play a game of cards?" Kid rolled his wrist and a deck of cards appeared in his hand. Nakamori was not amused.

"Like I would play with my enemy! besides. I wouldn't put it past you to cheat." Inspector Nakamori gave a suspecting glare.

Kid chuckled "Okay then, Lets play Charades, I can't cheat in that game ... Inspector," Kid's voice changes to sound like Nakamori's. "Who am I?" Kid took off his hat to reveal he looked exactly like his enemy.

Nakamori looked dumbfounded before his expression changed to being mad. "HEY-

"You are, going to be caught."

Kid could recognize that voice anywhere, his grin became bigger and he was filled with excitement, "Detective! I thought you didn't come to this heist."

The one Kid called detective walked forward until he was a little ways into the room than Nakamori. he was small, maybe between 7-9 years old, he wore a dark blue suit, grey shorts, and red shoes, the soles being white. "I was requested, why don't you take off that mask and cut we the chat?"

"Yeah," Kid tore off the mask of Nakamori, his voice went back to normal with it. "But, unfortunately, I'm running out of time to play." Kid could hear whispers coming from the back of the room, but paid no mind. He reached into his a pocket on the inner side of his costume, pulling out a smoke bomb, "When we meet again, Detective!"

"NOW!"

The room filled with smoke and the sound of something shutting went off. Kid sprinted for the exit. The one called Detective tries not to inhale the smoke, Behind him he hears something slamming into metal. the smoke starts to clear.
