'When did he come so close to my face...' Eve blushed.
Slayer and Eve were so close they almost kissed.
"I love you, Eve." Slayer said softly.

After he said her name is echoed inside her head.

"Eve! C'mon get up!" Slayer yelled into her ear.
Eve sat up straight from her desk. She looked lost and confused.
As soon as she turned to see Slayer her face turned a bright shade of red.
"D-did I say something out loud? When I was sleeping I mean..." Eve mumbled.
Slayer shook his head and Eve sighed with relief.
"It's the end of the day. If you want I could walk you home." Slayer slightly smiled.
"You don't have to, it's fine." Eve stood up from her chair. "Thanks for the offer though."
She walked out of the school, and started head in home. Little did she know was that Slayer was secretly following her, to make sure she'd get home safe. Eve didn't even bother to look behind her. Then all of a sudden, there were three college-looking students that came out of no where.
"Why do you look so scared? We're not gonna hurt ya..." One of them said.
Another guy was holding an rusty pipe as a weapon. And the last guy seemed really buff.
"We just wanna show you what it's like to have a good time." The one with the weapon laughed.
Eve could feel her heart race. She knew that she wouldn't go down without a fight. She was NOT a damsel in distress.
The guys started moving closer toward her. Eve was trying to think of a plan on how to out smart them.
"Hey you! Leave her alone!" A voice called out from the distance.
It was Slayer! The three guys went to go and investigate him. But Eve was worried about him getting hurt.
"It's alright. I'll go. I don't mind at all. You don't have to worry about him. You have my consent." Eve said calmly and smoothly.
The three guys, including Slayer, looked surprised. They never thought she would say such a thing.
As soon as the guy with the weapon started getting near her. She scratched his eye really hard and took his weapon. With his weapon, she swung it with all of her might to the buff-looking guys face.
"Slayer! Now!" Eve shouted.
Slayer went up to the last guys and started to have a fist fight with him. Then at the right moment Eve swung the weapon at the back of the last guys head.
They were all down on the ground.
Eve sighed and fell onto her knees on the floor. She was exhausted.
"I'm so glad that worked..." She huffed.
Slayer nodded his head.
"Will you let me walk you home now?" Slayer smirked.
"Sure," Eve giggled.
As they walked together, abreast from each other. Their hands accidentally touched.
(*Abreast means side to side)
Slayer slowly started to intertwine his hand with Eve's hand. She didn't seem to mind it at all.
"You know you're kind of like a sister to me..." He smiled.
Eve got flustered and turned red.
"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?!"
All he did was chuckle in response.
