After breakfast Tora and Zayden left to go to work. Tora to her job as a secretary and Zayden to his job at the market down the street. Usually I just hang around the house but today I was aching to run. My wolf wanted to be out and go for a run herself and wouldn't shut up about how we needed to go out today. I gave in and got dressed before writing a note a sticking it to the fridge. I slipped out the back door and jogged to the stretch of woods behind the house. Once I got to the small lake I shifted and let my wolf l, Skye, take over. We ran for what felt like forever before we came to a beautiful clearing. A ring of pine trees surrounded a single oak with a large rock nestled under the tree. It's roots curled around and held it off the ground just enough for a drapery of vines and moss to hang over an opening. A small whimper was heard from the cavern behind the vines. Skye crouched down and crept into past the vines. She peered in and saw a two young pups curled together. A small raven furred male and an even smaller light gray furred female. Suddenly Skye heard the loud snap of a branch and a deep growl behind her and spun around to face whatever threat it was. She spotted a large bracket furred male wolf with his teeth bared. Staying crouched I tried to mind link to him bet to no avail. Skye had taken complete control. Suddenly the wolf lept toward us and the pups.
