the meeting

Shinichi's POV:
We drank our coffee then started getting dressed, he let me borrow some of his clothes, they a but big since he was more muscular, but they were good enough, we both finished and I texted ran saying:

"Hey ran, we'll meet you and sonoko in front of the cafe"

She said:
"Okay, don't be late or I'll kill you :)"

I said:
"Okay ;)"

I was scared, we better get there early, believe me, one punch from her, and you'll end up in the hospital, I called out for kaito: come here, I've decided to go early, he chuckled going down the stairs, he said: what's the rush kudo?, I said sarcastically: just afraid ran will beat my ass nothing too important, he giggled a but then we left the house as he locked the door behind us, we got in his car, and we drove off, I asked nervously: are you sure about this? Ran might hurt you if she doesn't think you're good enough for me, he laughed then said: don't worry about it, I can win her heart just like I did with you, I turned red, he looked at me then winked, I playfully slapped his shoulder, he smirked, grabbing my hand and holding it, he intertwined our fingers and gripped my hand tightly, I smiled at him still blushing, we drove off in silence...

Ran's POV:
We were walking to the bus stop, and I was starting to have second thoughts about this meeting, shinichi said he's bringing a person he likes, why does this hurt so much, sonoko looked at me and she obviously knew something was wrong, she patted my shoulder and asked: hey ran, what's wrong? Are you okay?, I nodded then said: I'm fine, but there is something I didn't tell you about today, she raised an eyebrow in confusion, I continued: shinichi isn't really coming alone today, she took a few seconds, then got what I was saying, she said sadly: I'm so sorry, ran why did you agree to this?, I sighed then said: so he doesn't suspect anything, okay?, now please just be cool about it, she sighed and then gave me a reassuring look, I smiled at her thanking her before we got on the bus...

Kaito's POV:
We stood at the cafe doors waiting, and in a few minutes a girl was running towards us, she hugged shinichi without even looking at me, when she broke the hug, she looked at me with a fake smile, she said: you must be the friend shinichi has been talking about, he cleared his throat, obviously telling her not to embarrass him, I smiled gently then said: it's a pleasure to meet you, you're his best friend am I correct?, I said that trying to sound normal but my sarcasm escaped me, she shook my hand and said: the pleasure is all mine, ran is the name, I smirked and said: kaito, the boyfriend, she shot me a deadly look, while shinichi was blushing in the corner, the other girl stretched out her hand with a genuine smile on he face she said: sonoko, ran's best friend, nice to meet you, I smiled back shaking her hand, I said: kaito, nice to meet you too, and with a snap of my fingers, there was a rose in her hand, she blushed madly, I continued: a magician, shinichi looked at me smiling, I opened the door and the girls walked in, before walking in shinichi whispered: you know your ways around the ladies, he winked then walked in,  I smirked and walked right behind him, he slid in the little booth and I sat next to him, the waiter walked towards us and asked: welcome, what can I get you today?, I said: it's a hot chocolate for me and a black coffee for him, what do you guys wanna have?, sonoko said: we'll both have tea thank you very much, the waiter gave us a smile then walked away, so how long have you guys known each other? Ran said bitterly, shinichi said: about a week if I'm not mistaken, but we have met before according to kaito, I laughed and said: yes we have, but that's for me to tell you when the time is right, he giggled lightly, damn how much I loved that giggle, songs asked: are you transferring to our school? I was startled by her question but I answered: I don't know, if shinichi wants me to, then I'll be more than happy to, I winked at him, he was blushing madly, sonoko was giggling, and ran was just annoyed, the waiter brought the drinks, and we all thanked him, we talked and talked for a long time, laughter and awkwardness was filling the air, we ended the day and said our goodbyes, we got in the car and drove away...

Shinichi's POV:
We got to his house, and he broke the silence, he said: I don't think she liked me that much, I sighed I knew she would be hard on him, I said: listen kaito she's just a bit harsh on new people, I rubbed his shoulder lightly reassuring him, he smiled at me and we sat on the couch to watch Netflix, at about 7 we both got hungry, and he said: what do you say I take you out somewhere?, I said excitedly: I would love to, where are we going exactly?, he answered smirking: let it be a surprise, it's a very special place, I said smiling: I'm intrigued, we both got up and got our stuff, then got in the car, we drove there and I couldn't hide my excitement when we got there, it was a beautiful place, there was a little balcony that had a magnificent view of the city, it was lit by the bright moon, we sat on the table and chatted as we ordered our food, I don't know how many times I thanked him for bringing me to this amazing place, we ate our food, then left the restaurant, he asked me as we drove in the car: what do you say, you stay at my place tonight?, innocently of course, he winked, I giggled and said: only if you'll contain yourself, he smirked then said: I can't make any promises, but I'll try, I grinned, then gave him a peck on the cheek, he smiled trying to hide his blush, we got to his house and we watched a bit of Netflix, then went to his bed to sleep, I cuddled into him, my back against his chest, he held himself back, maybe a few playful kisses on the back of my neck but nothing more, after a while if us not sleeping I turned around and kissed him, he kissed back then smirked, I hugged him face to face, then slowly we both drifted to sleep...
