(PICTURE OF SANDRA ON THE SIDE!!!)

Tuesday

There’s nothing like a big cup of coco in the morning…

…to relieve the guilt one feels. All this thinking about Sandra really makes my head hurt and whenever I needed a pick-me-up, Swiss Chocolate was always the way to go. I had slept in, and missed three of my early morning study halls and part of Spanish, so I knew I had to get to school now if I was going to make Lunch Hour. I showered, got dressed, and drove to school in my black Toyota Camry.

I rushed to the main office, got a late pass for the last five minutes of Spanish, and waited in the classroom for the bell to go ding dong ding dong. When it did, I booked it and went straight across the hall, to wait outside Jeanette’s study hall. Jeanette walked out, and gasped when she saw my face.

“Oh my gosh Danny, you scared me!”

“Sorry. I just wanted to know if you’d like to spend lunch with me?”

She looked down as she bit her lip. “I can’t. I’ve got lunch detention.”

I hid my disappointment then took a moment to think. Once the perfect idea came to mind, I walked into her study hall, called the teacher a fat ass, and got two weeks lunch detention. I walked out the room and showed Jeanette my slip. “Me too!”

She gave me a genuine smile that made my heart skip beats and then led the way to detention.

Once in detention, I took the seat next to the one Jeanette took.

“You know she’s not going to let us talk after the bell rings right?”

I shrugged, “I just wanted to spend lunch with you. Talking isn’t necessary for me to enjoy your company.”

The bell rang and the teacher demanded silence. Jeanette pulled out a piece of paper, wrote on it, folded it, and then passed it to me.

J: I liked your picture…it was nice

D: Thanks, I was thinking of you

J: Aww…lol. So why do you keep on staring at me?

D: IDK. Because I think you’re beautiful.

J: Well I think your hand writing is crappy.

D: I know. I’m ashamed…

J: Don’t be. Haha lol. This is sooo boring!

D: I know. But it’s worth it. I got to spend time with you.

J: You’re so sweet. Jk

D: I am sweet! You just haven’t seen that side of me yet

J: I’ll see it…if you come with me to Brian George’s party tomorrow?

I looked at Jeanette and she had a smile on her face. She winked at me.

D: Yes. I’d love too.
