The water looked deep and inviting. It's surface the same colour as the dark sky. The rain fell, cold and chilling, but I was beyond caring. My anger was much worse than the storm. I looked down at the water once more. Its depths continued to beckon me and I was oh-so-close to relenting. The soft pitter-patter of rain was replaced by the ping-ping-ping of hail that bit at my skin. The sting made me smile. I lent forward slowly, the grass underneath me slipping slightly. I took a step. The splash of my entry was drowned out by the water now surrounding me. I was shaking, but I kept my head above the surface, I never wanted to drown. Hypothermia was enough. A frantic voice struggled to be heard over the storm. I glanced a pair of green eyes, the outline of a body. Their tragic sobs carried to the water, and it was the last thing I heard before everything disappeared.
