Edward and Marydale arrived at the Frankfurt Airport on Friday night.

A middle aged man approach Edward at the airport arrival lounge and handed him a car key. "Guten Abend Herr Barber Hier ist der Schlüssel zum Mietwagen."

Edward took the car key and said  "Danke, Sir, ich werde die Pflege in zwei Tagen zurückgeben."

The man led them to a rented car at the arrival gates and assisted Edward with their suitcases.

Edward opened the car door for Marydale and in his usual way, buckled her up and kissed her on her cheek. Marydale did not mind his gesture anymore as she is now getting use to this and actually finding it really sweet.

Edward drove from Frankfurt towards Heildelberg, his hometown.  It was just an hour drive.

Marydale was quiet that Edward noticed and took her one hand to his and said "why are you so suddenly quiet Love, are you not enjoying the view?"

Marydale replied, "I am Edward, from way back Frankfurt, ang ganda pala ng Germany.

Edward said, "We'll have more time for sightseeing tomorrow Love, now tell me what is bothering you? you are not your jolly self."

"Kinakabahan talaga ako Edward, baka hindi ako magustuhan ng pamilya mo" Marydale said.

"Love, huwag kang kabahan, my parents, my family they are good people, and I am with you, hindi kita pababayaan, so please i-enjoy natin itong trip na ito, you will love them back I assure you."

Edward and Marydale arrived at the Barber's family house. They were greeted by Catherine and Kevin Barber as well as Edward's paternal grandparents who happen to live only next door.

Catherine and Kevin Barber and the grandparents gave a warm welcome embrace to Marydale. Marydale although initially shy felt their sincerity.

Mrs Barber held Marydale on her hand and led her to the family room "Kamusta ka na iha? Salamat naman at napagunlakan mo ang imbitasyon namin, how was the flight and the travel."

"Ang ganda ganda ninyo po pala lalo na sa personal Ma'am Catherine."

Mrs Barber delighted by Marydale's comment "Hay ikaw talaga, please call me Tita Catherine. So kamusta ka na nga?"

"Naku mabuti po Tita Catherine, maraming salamat po talaga sa imbistasyon, maayos po yung biyahe namin ni Edward."

Edward and the older Mr Barber were at the garage talking "Mum and I are very glad that you brought Marydale here at our home, she looks really lovely and Mum seems to like her".

"Thanks Dad, for the invitation, I am glad you are accepting of her".

"So son, I don't want to really pry on your personal life, but you seem to like her".

"She is the one Dad, the search is over I have found her".

The older Mr Barber shook his son's hand and said "Well son, congratulations, I am always proud and happy for you".

Mrs Barber called them out from the garage for dinner.

Edward, Mardyale, Edward's parents and grandparents thoroughly enjoyed the dinner. The family had tea at the family room. After a while Mrs Barber helped Marydale with her things and showed to her the bedroom that she will be staying in. She said that it was her daughter's Laura's room, her eldest child who is based in the Philippines for their business. She also showed to her some of photos that Edward had taken and some of which were framed on the wall at the family's hallway and even their private rooms.
