"Hello Edward, Nathan and I will pick you up from the airport at 5pm alright." Laura ringing him almost everyday now and reminding him of Nathan Junior's birthday party.

"Ate Laura I made a promised right? I will come for Junior's party. I can manage, will grab a cab or the hotel's shuttle service."

"Well, I am missing my little brother, what is wrong with that? Oh you're not staying in our house?"

"Ate Laura, after the birthday party I will fly back here in HK. Makati Shang is near NAIA. Thanks for the invitation though."

"Ok I will see you soon, you take care."

After a few seconds his cellphone rang again.

" This is weird, this number have been appearing since yesterday who could this be calling from a double 4 code from London?"

Edward was skeptical but the call was persistent.

"Edward speaking, who is this please?"

"Thank God finally you took the call Edward, this is Marco, I have been trying to call you since yesterday. Kamusta na bro?"

"Hey Marco, whats up? I am good thank you, why are you calling from a private number? Are you calling from London?"

"Oh yes, my phone played up. So this is my new number. Am here with Jenny."

Backstory (Jenny Thompson is Marydale's schoolmate and good friend from the Paris fashion school. Three years ago Jenny learned of the fateful news. She did not believe the news and was able to get in touch with Marco and Caitlin through Patricia. She wanted to assure her friend that she was on her side. Jenny became Marco and Caitlin's friend as they have worked together for the House of M wedding editorial for its June magazine. Edward resigned as the A&L photographer and designated Marco instead. Marco kept in touched with Jenny and eventually they ended up as more than friends. Jenny returned home to London after she finished her studies in Paris. Jenny is currently the fashion and stylist editorial assistant of the London Fashion Magazine).

"Edward, I have got a very important news to you..."

"Bro, don't tell me you're getting married? Well congratulations!"

"No, not yet but I have to break the news to you personally. I am catching a flight tonight and meet you in HK."

"Hang on Marco, are you crazy you sounded like it's a matter of life and death..do you realise the flight is eleven hours from London to HK, can you not just tell me whatever that damn news is over the phone?"

"You need to see something, it is hard to explain over the phone Bro."

"I am not in HK by the time you depart from London, I will be in Manila for a family gathering, unless you can wait for two more days then I can meet you in HK.

"Sorry Bro, this can no longer wait, we have wasted a lot of time. I will see you in Manila then. Send me all your details. See you soon, have to go, Jenny's calling. Ciao."

"Hey Marco what do you mean wasted time?....what the hell! did he just hanged up on me?" "What was that all about? Wasted a lot of time? Is it our business in Germany or Philippines? Edward was bothered by the news and phoned his parents and Laura and asked if there is anything that he needs to be concerned with their businesses. However, his parents or Laura assured him that everything was doing alright. "Crazy Italian". Edward thought.
