I had a dream that I was falling out of the sky and woke up in cold sweats.
I ran toward my bedroom door and I was about to make it out the door
When a pair of hands grabbed my legs.
I fell down and screamed.
I looked up and saw the light in the bathroom.
It looked so close that I could touch it but I couldn't.
I started slipping under my bed.
I felt as if I was going down to the pits of hell.
I screamed louder and felt the urge to keep fighting.
I won't give up.
You won't get the best of me.
I was starting to suffocate.
And then I went under.
My feet pounded the pavement as the monster chased me
Down the dark alley.
She clawed at my legs
As I jumped over the wall before me
She jumped too
Digging her nails into my legs.
Blood seeping through my pants,
I was falling
Into a void of nothingness.
Then
I woke up in cold sweats.
