My Safe Haven

chapter 1

I woke up groggy as hell the first day of high school. "Laura!" my mom and dad yelled in unison my parent's are both doctor's so there schedules change a lot "The bus will be here and ten minutes" after coming to my senses I dash to the bathroom and brush my teeth and go to my walk In closet I choose a peach floral printed shirt white jeans and peach flats to complete my outfit. I then dash downstairs grab a piece of toast on the counter and yell good bye to my parent's with my mouth full. I run onto the bus and sit next to Kayla a girl I met this summer when I moved my parent's had changed location a lot so they promised me I could stay here for the rest of high school so I could make friends "Hey" she says. I nod in response to energy drained to talk right now. We get to school in 10 minutes give or take and head to get are schedules. Me and Kayla seem to click with three other girls Zoe,Chealsea, and Jenny. I look at my schedule: 1.Music 2.Gym 3.Algebra 1 4.Chemistry 5.Lunch 6.Art 7.Home Ec 8.Civics 9.Language Arts. Kayla and Zoe have all there periods with me. Jenny and Chelsea have Chem,Lunch,Art, and Home Ec. I finally start to think I might have a good first year of high school.
