Luna roamed the night, unable to enter the suns light. Sol ruled the day, forever casting a shadow hiding her from his sight. Luna admired Sol for his immense presence, you simply can't not see Sol. His smile is like sitting in front of a campfire at night with your friends, surrounded by love and warmth.

Sol had watched her, just out of the corner of his eye, a constant presence. She was delicately bright, unlike him. Sol was the center of everyone's universe, he loved being the big warm star to everyone, but he wondered if it was the reason Luna wouldn't let him see her.

Sol watched as she drew closer to him one day, floating toward him in her delicate way. The skies darkened as she neared him. Luna smiled and waved, her heart pounding as day turned into night. She folded her legs under her and plopped down beside him.

"Hey." She smiles at him, extending her hand toward him. "I'm Luna."

Sol couldn't believe it, Luna was sitting right there beside him. Instinctively he reached his hand out.

"Hey," he took her hand in his, she was so pale she looked like she might glow under a black light. "I'm Sol."

Luna admired his yellow-blond hair and dark skin.

"Pleasure to meet you." She tucked her black hair behind her ear.

"Pleasure's all mine." Sol grabbed the extra pair of glasses from his bag and placed them in her hand, he had imagined asking her to watch this with him but he had never mustered the courage.

"Enjoy the eclipse with me?" He asked her. Luna took the glasses and slid them on, her smile reflected his own, turning it into something soft and beautiful.

"That pleasure is mine."
