Pov Dipper

Mabel grabbed my injured arm and pulled on it tight. I just ignored the pain and ran awhile with her.

"M-Mabel c-can you let go of my wrist? " I asked.
"I'm sorry Dipper, just a bit excited." Mabel smiled.
"It's alright." I said.

Mabel lead me to a small cafe and we saw Candy, Grenda, Pacifica and Gideon. Did Mabel plan this? If she did, then she did a great job of doing it.

"Dipper I haven't seen you in awhile, how's it been? " Candy smiled.
"I-I'm doing fine, and you? " I mumbled.
"You've become more quiet." Grenda said.
"I-I know." I said.
"So, are you still into mystery haunting still?" Pacifica said.
"Not as much anymore, I've sort of grew out of it but I still have lots of questions about this town. " I said.
"Theirs something else different about you." Gideon said.
"Nothing else different, just the shyness." I mumble.
"No, something else seems different but I just can't put my finger on it." Gideon said.
"Nothing else." I said.
"So, what do you guys wanna do today?" Mabel smiled.
" We could probably just do random things. " Candy said.
"That sounds like a great idea. " Mabel smiled
"Let's go! " Grenda smiled.

They all started to walk away as I just stood their looking at them. I slowly started to walk towards them.

We went to the mall and there plan was to try to get kicked out of every store possible. I wasn't a part of that because I don't want to get in trouble. Once they were done being kicked out of every store possible we went to the park.

We walked around the park until we all sat under a tree. I climbed up the tree and sat on the branch.

"Dipper don't hurt yourself. " Mabel said.
"Don't worry Mabel I won't." I said.
"Be careful. " Candy said.
"Don't worry I won't fall." I said.
"There is a possibility that you will Dipper, we don't know if the branch is stable." Grenda said.
"It is, I'm not that heavy trust me." I mumbled.
"Dipper just get down before Mabel starts to panic even more." Gideon said.
"Mabel claim down." I said.
"I-I am claim." Mabel stuttered.
"Mabel don't worry." Pacifica said.

I looked at Mabel and started to climb down. I jumped down as she flinched when I did so. She hugged me tight and looked at me.

"I don't want you to fall like last time." Mabel said.
"Last time? " Candy said.
"Story time! " Grenda said.
"Tell us this tale." Gideon said.
"It's stupid." I said.
"Come on Dipper." Pacifica said.
"Fine but don't make fun of me." I said.
"We won't." They all smiled.
"Two years after we left Mabel and I went to the park. I was climbing a tree because I was upset and Mabel couldn't climb the tree either. Mabel kept on yelling at me to get but I didn't listen. I took another step and I slipped and fell off the tree. I ended up breaking my arm. Mabel kept on nagging at me and keeps getting worried about climbing trees." I said.
"I have a question and it might sound stupid." Candy said.
"What's the question." I said.
"What is it? I mean it can't be that dumb." Grenda said.
"What type of tree was it?" Candy asked.
"Why do you want to know the type of tree? " Gideon asked.
"I don't know really." Candy said.
"Mabel what was the tree? " I asked.
"A Pinetree." Mabel said.
"Pfff...." Candy started laughing.
"What's so funny? " I asked.
"Wasn't your nickname Pinetree at one point." Candy said.
"Wait it was." Grenda said.
"That is a bit funny." Pacifica mumbled.

My face turned cold for a bit when they started to say that nickname. It was weird when others said that nickname. I guess that forgot the origin of the nickname.

"Guys cut it out." Mabel rasied her voice.
"It's fine Mabel." I said
"Why it's just-" Pacifica looked at me.
"Mabel I gonna go." I said.
"Dipper wait." Mabel said.
"Sorry Mabel." I said.

I sprinted away as they looked at me while running.

Having someone say a nickname that only a certain can say is weird. I feel uncomfortable when someone says that nickname. Mabel is probably upset at them for not remembering the origins of the name.

I realized that I ran into the woods without thinking. I stood in my tracks as I looked at everything.

"Can everything go back to normal?" I mumbled.
"Can it? " I said.

My heart stopped as I felt a knot inside my stomach. I started to walk around and stumbled into a opening. The feeling in my stomach stopped as I see something.

"Ford wasn't lying.... He's here." I mumbled.

I slowly walked up too he statue and he was right their. I somewhat smiled when I saw it.

"It's been so long, I've changed a little but I think you won't like these changes. Bill, I've missed you very much and it's hard to forget about you. You were something alright." I said.
"I know you probably can't hear me, but I'll do what ever it takes to bring you back. I promise. " I said.

I looked at the statue and made a dull smile.

"The great cipher still lives on and-and I can't say nothing much. I just have so much to tell you, I have so much to show you, I just want to tell you how much I miss you." I said.
"I just want to hear you say that stupid nickname one more time." I said.
"That would be the greatest feeling in the world to me." I said.
"don't worry, I'll be here soon." The voice was so clear.
"I promise Bill, I promise." I said.

I walked away as I felt the knots in my stomach growing bigger and bigger. I'll find out a way, just wait Bill. I'll get you out.
