feel

the quiet numb sensation took over her

she felt empty

she didn't smile

she didn't speak

no tears came out

then the panic set in

she tried touching the things around her,

tugged her hair,

tried to scream out,

she just wanted to feel something,

but she couldn't.

 then depression greeted her with a smile,

and never again did she feel.

she never got to feel happiness,

or even the pain inflicted upon herself,

she only had the emptiness that resided within her

she just wanted to feel something,

anything

and that's what drove her to insanity
