                                              ~Reuben's P.O.V. ~

“You can look around the house, it won’t take a while for the food to finish. Okay? Just don’t get lost” Carson says, while smiling.

I nod, and adventure off. There were so many rooms, I felt like my first day of school all over again.

I walk into this huge room, and it was a library, very fancy looking library.

There were so many books, that I thought they would fall on top of me.

I love the smell of books, call me strange, but I just do. Oh! Comic books.

While I was looking at a vintage batman comic book, I hear Carson yelling loud enough for me to know that the food is ready.

I go back to the kitchen, and the aroma of the food, makes my stomach come alive.

“Bon Appetit” Carson says, and puts down his plate.

“Um, thank you Carson.” I said.

“Oh! It’s no problem. Hey! You know what I realized. That’s the first time I ever heard my name come out that sweet mouth of yours.” Carson says in a strange tone.

He sure can say the weirdest things!

“Ruby, say my name again.” He commands.

“Huh?” I replied, completely confused.

“Just say my name again. Please.” Carson repeated, but added puppy dog eyes.

“…… Carson?” I said finally.

Carson sighs, with a dazed expression on his flawless face, then he took a bite of his sandwich.

I wash my hands, and start to eat my sandwich, with chips on the side. Yummm!

The house is so silent, it’s creepy. I’m shifting uncomfortably in my seat, because Carson is staring at me while I eat. And I can’t really read his facial expression, but I know it’s something dirty.

“Carson, why is it so quiet. Where are your parents, family? Um, I’m sorry, that was rude of me to ask. It’s really not any of business.” I stammered.

“Oh, it’s okay! I’m glad you asked. My parents, let say they work a lot, and my siblings are both older. I have twin brothers, and both are in university.” And Carson ends with a smile.

“Oh, Okay.” I commented.

I grab some paper, and a pen in my backpack, and wrote down my first question, and the responses to the interview.

“Ruby, what’s your favorite color?” Carson asks.

“Oh, um, blue and purple.” I answered.

Then I ask, the same question. He said red and green.

I then asked him, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”

“I’m not certain, but I know I want to be someone who makes a lot of money.” He answered.

Heh! Figures.

Carson, then asks me, “Ruby, what’s your favorite animal.”

I reply, “A bunny.”

“Hah! How ironic.” He commented.

I then ask. “If you would ever want to change the world, what part of the world would you change?”

“I like that question Ruby. Well, if I would change the world, I would say for every person to be truly equal.” He addresses.

“Nice answer.” I commented.

I just noticed that I’m sitting in his spacey, living room couch. And Carson is purposely getting closer to me in the distance. When, I’m trying to keep my distance away from him.

I confront him about his behavior, and he surprisingly listens.

“If you were given a gift of any kind of super power, what kind of power would that be?” Carson questions me.

“I don’t know? Um, the power of powers.” I reply, uncertain.

“Okay.” Carson says.

“Carson, why don’t you take notes or something? How are going to remember what I just said?” I wonder.

“I have a photographic memory.” He said like it was no big deal.

I scoff “You’re obviously lying.”

“No, I’m actually telling the truth.” He says, with a straight face.

“Cool.” I noted.

We continue to ask each other questions, and actually get to know one another.

I learned really cool things about Carson, and really sick things about Carson.

I check the time and it’s already 6:00 (p.m.).

“I have to go home now.” I assure Carson.

“Man! I thought you would forget about home.” Carson says in disappointment.

I gathered all my things, said bye to Jenkins, and was about to clean what I left behind, but Carson told me not to mind it.

“Are you sure Carson? I don’t feel very comfortable doing that.” I admit.

“You’re just too polite and full of manner, that I sometimes think you’re joking around. But seriously, forget about it.” Carson says.

We walk to a whole new expensive car. Gosh! How many cars does he have?

I was finally at my own house, and Carson walked me to my door.

I feel like Carson is going to do something bad, but maybe I should have faith in him. Who I’m I kidding?! It’s Carson Blackwell!

I was going to say bye to him, but suddenly. I felt something on my lips, something warm, moist, and…. Soft?

Ugh! Carson lips are on mine. He’s holding me with both of his arms around my waist, and gently kissing me.

I instantly push him off, so he can stop his actions.

“And I thought I can trust you, Carson.” I say, just to make him feel guilty. Why would I truly trust Carson?

“Don’t look at me like that Ruby! Now I feel like shit, it’s just instinct to me Ruby. I’m really sorry It just felt right, Okay!” Carson says with guiltiness.

I ignore him, and quickly run inside, while slamming the door for effect.

Right now, I just want to go in my room and sleep.
