Imigen's POV
**********

It's been three days and I'm kind of bummed that I haven't heard from Ivory, they are the first people that have shown any interest in forming a real friendship with me and I never thought I would get this hung up on something that I had no idea I wanted in my life, maybe this is the start I need to embrace who I am, maybe these girls can help me bring that out but then again it's been three days and she hasn't contacted me maybe they were just playing around with me, I didn't think I was in there league.

On my way to my last class of the week and I don't have another shift for two days, if those girls don't actually want anything to do with me then I'll probably just stay home and finish more assignments,

I've never actually realised how uninteresting that's sounds or how uninteresting I am, the day goes by with no interruptions and no messages from anyone, I'm getting a little sad about having no one to hang out with I'm just going to continue just doing my usual thing and all that is finishing school work and watching TV, just as I'm about to doze off my phone starts ringing "Hello, who's this and do you know what time it is? Why are you calling me this late" I say half asleep "Imigen it's me Ivory we meet the other day, you covered me in latte" She sounds worried "is everything okay, what's up? I ask trying not to sound too eager to talk to hear even to my own surprise I'm actually really excited that she called me,

"hey I know we only met once but I'm stranded I just got ditched by my date and have no way of getting anywhere so I took a chance and called you, you do have a car right?" she sounds so sad "yeah ivory just text me the address and I'll be there as fast as I can" I say softly "oh my god thank you I knew meeting you was a good thing, you're amazing" she's talking so quickly "Ivory the longer you take to send me the address the longer it will take me to get to you, I'm going to hang up so I can get ready to leave, see you soon Ivory" I cut her off and start getting ready I grab my jacket, boots and keys before I run out the door.

just as I get to the car my phone beeps "I'm at 44 Liratree way about half an hour away from the coffee house" I get in my baby and text her back quickly "leaving now stay safe be there soon" it's about 11 o'clock and around these parts in not safe to be alone at night time,

it probably wasn't very smart of me to choose the college I did because of the unsolved crime rate but I was intrigued about the area everything in the neighbourhood is named after something to do with the moon and the moon is something that gives me hope, I felt drawn to this town after I found it, it seemed like a good fit, my phone says I'm about 10 minutes away from Ivory there's no traffic on the roads so I put the pedal to the floor so I can get to her quickly it's like 10 degrees (celsius) is outside and I bet she's probably freezing,

I pull up out the front of a pretty flashy restaurant and she runs to the car she looks like she's been crying, I lean over to unlock the door and she jumps in beside me and pulls me into a hug "thank you so much, I don't have any more so I couldn't get a taxi and I probably would have frozen to death if I had to walk back to the campus" she says while shivering I turn up the heater and turn the radio down a bit for her "you live on Campus?" I blurt out happy that I don't have to drive anywhere but home "yeah I live in the dorms on the fourth floor" she looks at me with a small smile "I live a floor below you" I add giving her a playful nudge trying to cheer her up but she just looks out the window "what's wrong Ivory? Did something happen?"

she's lets out a deep breath that I didn't know she was holding in "the guy I was on a date with go really touchy, he tried to force me to, you know" she tells me while sinking her head into her hands "are you okay, did he hurt you? She's too sweet for this to happen to her "no I'm fine I slapped him and ran back into the restaurant before he could hurt me"

she's so shaken up, she must feel so vulnerable right now "I'm so glad he didn't hurt you, you don't deserve something like that I mean I don't know you very well but from the impression you gave me you wouldn't be the type to put herself in that position" I say trying not to sound disrespectful "this is the first time anything like that has happened to me, I've always thought I was a good judge of character when it came to guys, I guess I was really wrong this time" she shoots me a sad look before turning to look out the widow again,
"where do you want me to drop you off, are you going back to the dorms? I ask her softly "Yeah I am but would it be okay if I hung out with you for a little while? I don't really want to be alone yet" she lets out a hitched breath "of course that's okay Ivory" I tell her in hopes that that cheers her up even just a little.
