Chapter•4•

Imigen's POV

Even though the circumstances weren't great I was really happy you called, you're the first person I've met that I actually wanted to get to know the entire time I've lived here" she gives me a huge smile and hugs me tight "I'm honestly so surprised you wanted me to call you, you seemed pretty hesitant at Lunabrew the other day? She seems a lot calmer now "I was just a little shocked, I'm not really a social person, I haven't had much experience in the department but after meeting you and your friends the other day made me think I could come out of my shell a bit"

I'm honest with her I figure if I want a friendship with her or anyone I want to be 100% truthful with them and that's what I'd want in return from them "that's sweet, tonight might just be the thing we needed to start a friendship, if you'd like that is? She questions just as we pull up to our building,

"I'd like that heaps Ivory, I know we aren't that close yet but I want you to know I'll always be here to help you like I did tonight" I say to her as we get out of my car "thank you so much, same goes for you Imigen"

I lock up my baby tightly just as I always do "I love your Kombi Van, it's so cute it must have taken you so long to save for this" she says as she admires my baby "thanks she means so much to me and actually my parents gave her to me for graduation, come on let's head up stairs" I say trying to get her attention back from my car.

We decided to go to my dorm because it was one less set of stairs, Zuri wasn't home so it was just me and Ivory, she's been her for nearly two hours and we haven't run out of things to talk about we've covered pretty much our whole lives up to where we are right now

"What are you studying, and what have you got planned after you graduate?" she questions me with an intrigued expression on her face "I'm an Art Major but my main courses are contemporary art and abstract art, I've actually been planning what I'm doing after I graduate since I was 11 you could call it a lifelong dream,

As soon as I graduate I'm going to hit the open road with all the money I've saved over the last two and a bit years and I going to go state to state around America too Camp in all the National forests see all the amazing lakes and mountains this country has to show me" I didn't realise how excited I was getting while I was telling her that story but I had Goosebumps everywhere and I was shaking "that sounds amazing Imigen such an adventure, but are you sure you want to go all around America on your own I mean it's sounds a little dangerous but exciting at the same time and you'll make heaps of memories for yourself but you won't be able to reminisce and relive you're adventures with anyone who can imagine it every step of the way in 40 to 50 years?" she says with a little too much excitement in her eyes "are you hinting that you want to join me on the road Ivory Montane? I say with a smirk, I really wouldn't mind her joining me she's nice to have as company and as least I won't have to talk to myself the whole road trip, but she might want the girls to come too I don't know them well enough to consider letting them tag along,

I have about three and a half months to get to know them, I hope that's enough time to really get to know these girls "I may Imigen Sade, I wanted to have an extended gap year before I through myself into a career that I'm not ready for but I have no idea what to do in between graduation and when I am ready, what you have planned sounds so free and wild, experiencing things I never thought I would  get the chance to, would you consider letting me tag along I have about ten thousand dollars in my account?" she says excitedly "first where did you get ten grand? And second I will consider letting you come with me but I have to get to know you better before the trip anyway" she gives me an understanding smile "maybe you can get to know the girls better at the same time if you'd like and if everything goes well over the next few months they could join us to maybe, if you'd be okay with that?"

I knew that was coming "uhh yeah same as what I said to you, I need to get to know them a bit better before I can really decide" I say shakily but manage to smile at her "I understand I can just imagine how much fun it could be, anyway its nearly 2 in the morning I better get to my dorm I have a pretty early class in the morning"  she says heading towards the door to leave "okay Ivory I had a really nice night with you tonight, don't be a afraid to give me a buzz" I say with a hopeful tone "I definitely will call again thank you so much for helping me tonight it means a lot to me" she give me a huge smile then closes the door behind her,

I collapse on top of my bed and drift off immediately.
