Every Tainted Soul /// Season 1 *CHAPTER 1 NOW UP*

Thank you for being interested in my first book, Every Tainted Soul. I've only really written fanfictions and poetry in the past, so this is a major step for me as an author–a step I am excited about, though.

Unfortunately for you guys, I will not be updating this book until I have completely finished. This is simply to avoid re-publishing previous chapters multiple times and long gaps between chapter updates. I have published the first chapter for you, called The Genesis, to get excited about the story and to have a little teaser of what's to come. I figured it should be a good enough teaser, considering it's 10+ pages and about 4,000 words. Just that chapter has gone through multiple peer and self-editing processes until I deemed it perfect, all of that taking about 3 weeks. I have written the second chapter, which has yet to go through my editing process, and have begun concepts for the third. 

Juggling a job, my senior year of high school, and all my other hobbies and social life is one of the reasons the editing process of the first chapter took a while to complete. Being a teen-bordering-on-adulthood isn't the easiest. Judging by that, the book could take a while to complete.

But who knows? Maybe when I graduate this upcoming June, I can make more time for this book,  and I can crank out quality chapters a lot faster. I plan on turning Every Tainted Soul into a series, with a possibility of at least three to four installments, but we'll see how that turns out.

Now that all that boring stuff is out of the way, let's get into the book itself.

I'm going to go ahead and start with explaining some of the characters. The names in this story might be difficult for some of you to pronounce, so I'm here to help! Also note that a picture of who I've cast for a certain character, if I casted that character, will be provided in the section of this book titled "Cast".

Jenavia (pronounced jen-AY-vee-uh) is the main character and heroine of Every Tainted Soul. I imagine her to be played by Leda Muir. Jenavia left earth when she was 18, so she is going to be slightly childish. She has the largest wings in the entirety of Caelum, and no one really knows why. Jenavia has a British accent and mentality, and since the story is told from her point of view, there will be European spellings and English words(???). I apologize if I offend any Non-Americans with my attempt at making Jenavia. As you can tell, I am NOT English, but a Southern US American. If you see anything that needs to be corrected, please don't hesitate to alert me in the comments so I can correct it.

Alex Young is Jenavia's assigned client, played by the Brazillian model, Francisco Lachowski. He's basically the definitions of the words "man-whore" and "jackass", and it frankly makes me hate him (but only a little 'cause I know what's in store for him). He's 23-years-old and lives in California (*collective groaning from people sick of Californian characters*) in an apartment with his two dogs, Rosie and Bowie. You guys will eventually learn his backstory and why he is the way he is.

Sarai (pronounced suh-RYE) is the current leader of the Lux Council and is played by the lovely Sarah Urie (subject to change). Sarai died in the 1300's in England (obviously you can guess she has a British accent), but over the years of being a Lux herself before she joined the Lux Council, she's learned to speak and act more modernly.  She treats Jenavia more like a daughter than some Lux, and Jenavia feels more attached to her because of that. I'm still deciding whether or not to have her make more appearances throughout the story.

Mattaniah (pronounced mat-uh-NYE-uh), Achaicus (pronounced uh-KAI-kuss), Bethiel (beth-EE-ul), and Mariel (pronounced mar-EE-ul) (played by Eion Bailey, Jerry Lewis, Chris Pratt, and Imelda Staunton respectively. Some castings are subject to change.) are the other members of the Lux Council next to Sarai. Their back stories aren't really necessary knowledge as their characters aren't that important to the story as of right now, but I'll give you a little info about each of them. Achaicus is basically the court reporter during Lux briefings, meaning he takes notes of everything that happens. Mattaniah is a silent character and Sarai's second in command. Bethiel is very optimistic and likes to reference his missions from his Lux days. Mariel is garbage and Jenavia hates her a lot (you'll see why in the first chapter).

Azra (pronounced ahz-RUH) is Jenavia's Amicus friend, played by Jenna Mcdougall (possibly subject to change). She was a past mission of Jenavia's (when she was Talia Walters), but Azra doesn't remember that she and Jenavia have met before because she doesn't remember any of her past life (just like Jenavia). She's a peppy and smart alleck-y girl who's slightly immature (probably because she died at 16-years-old). I haven't really decided whether to talk about her more than the first chapter. 

I think that's mainly it beside other characters I'll introduce throughout the story. 

Every Tainted Soul takes place in the early 2000s (don't ask what my obsession is with that time period.), the story starting in late July of 2002. If you're wondering why I have my characters in strange outfits or why nothing makes sense if you were born after 2005, there's your answer.

I don't know what else to say. I think I've mostly covered everything. If I think of any other important information to add to this author's note, I'll just add it in bold font.
