Chapter 4

Once we finally arrived back at the retirement home, Sam went off to check on Fred while Dean and I went to go and find Castiel. As we walked along, we finally spotted Castiel near an exploded cake. We then immediately walked over to Castiel before he said...

"Oh you got my message, good," Castiel said.

"What the hell happened?" Dean asked.

"There was a pastry mishap," Castiel answered.

"Okay and?" I asked.

"And the frostings reached near supersonic speeds, I thought-" Castiel said before Sam came over and interrupted him.

"Hey," Sam said.

"Hey," Dean said.

"Fred's gone," Sam said.

"What?" Castiel questioned, sounding annoyed.

"Oh great, wait to take the eye of the ball," Dean said.

Just then, a nurse came over pushing an old lady in a wheelchair before saying...

"Hey, you're not supposed to be here," the nurse said.

"Oh trust me sweetheart, you have bigger fish," Dean said.

"Charles, she's wearing my diamonds," the old lady said to Castiel, calling him Charles just like before.

The nurse then tried to walk away with her before Castiel said...

"Wait," Castiel said, stopping her from moving anymore.

"What?, what's wrong?" she asked.

"This is Mrs Tate's bracelet. Where did you get it?" Castiel asked.

"Answer the question," I said.

"My boyfriend gave it to me," she answered.

After realizing that her boyfriend must have been the thief, we all found out where he lived and then left to go find him. Once we had got there, we immediately dashed up the stairs and found that the room was basically trashed and the man was injured. Castiel then rushed over to him and said...

"Stay still, move your hands," Castiel said to him.

He then did what Castiel said before he healed the man with his Angelic powers. After doing this, the man looked too shocked to say anything before lifting up his shirt and seeing that Castiel healed him.

"How did you do that?" the man asked.

"The man has his ways, Sam," Dean said before they began to lift him up.

All of a sudden, my phone began to ring and I immediately got it out and saw that someone from home was calling me. The boys then looked at me before I said...

"I'll be right back," I said before walking out of the apartment with my phone.

I then answered the call and quickly placed it against my ear.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Mummy! Mummy, I miss you!" Melinda exclaimed on the other edge of the phone.

"I know, I miss you too darling but mummy will be home soon I promise," I said.

"But I haven't seen you in ages," Melinda said.

"I know sweetie, I know I haven't been home in a couple of weeks but I promise it won't be long now. Mummy has just got one last case to deal with and then I promise I'll be home," I said.

"Okay," Melinda said.

"So tell me, how have you been with Vanessa. I mean, what have you been up to?" I asked.

"Well we've been painting, playing, we've been to the park and it's been lots of fun," Melinda answered happily.

"It sounds like it. Glad to hear that you're having fun. Listen darling, I have to go but I'll speak to you later," I said.

"Okay mummy," Melinda said.

"I love you so much Melinda," I said.

"I love you too mummy," Melinda said.

"Bye," I said.

"Bye," Melinda said.

I then hung up and began to stand there for a while, smiling and remembering my beautiful daughter. I remembered her smile, her laugh, the face she made when she tasted something sour; everything. I missed my daughter so much and I couldn't wait to see her again. I knew my job was always going to do this to our lives but it did hurt me every time I had to leave her side. I then felt a tear roll down my cheek before I quickly wiped it away and got back to reality. So I then took a deep breath, put my phone in my pocket and opened the door of the apartment and joining the boys once again to find out everything we could about this thief we had just caught...
