After the fire, Phillip wakes up to find Barnum, not Anne, waiting for him. Details of that night remain foggy in Phillip's memory, but Barnum won't say much, and, soon, it becomes clear to Phillip that secrets are being held within the circus. Barnum is acting like a completely different person and Phillip is starting to become concerned - what happened that night that Barnum is hiding from him?
