*Maggie's POV

"Alex, it's too dangerous! We've never been here and I don't want you to get hurt out there." I say watching as Alex rolls her eyes in frustration but continues to put on some gear.

Maggie stands next to me leaning against the wall with her arms crossed, she only came to accompany Alex on the trip out here to Seattle but she has been a big help with tracking the dangerous creature down. It seems it will be one of the easier prisoners to catch, but as this creature not only has super speed and strength, but it's scales are made of something that is toxic for humans when in contact, well thats a myth but its like 99.9 percent completely true. That's why I will be handling this one on our own, of course that is if we can convince Alex to stay here and just relax. "This creature touches you once and you're done for it." Maggie says calmly as Alex ties up her laces for her black combat boots. Alex just shakes her head "but we don't know that for sure! Nor will we until we capture this thing." She says looking up at Maggie who still stands with her arms crossed. "But we know enough. All the data is pointing towards it and I'd rather you be safe!" I say getting more angry, Alex just rolls her eyes "I'll come and help you, I promise that thing won't be able to come near me!" She argues back figiting with her newest laser weapon. Maggie shakes her head and looks at me with a face that's reads 'how in the world are we going to stop this woman'. "Alex, you will stay here. If we need backup, you'll be the first person we call." Jonn says walking in already transformed into his normal self. Alex shakes her head and bites the inside of her mouth without saying a word. "So, Kara. If you can go through the sewers, I can come from behind the other way and meet you..." He goes on, but I stop listening. He is pointing to a tourist map of Seattle he picked up on the way here. I watch out of the corner of my eyes Alex complaining to Maggie about something, I can't tell weather they are fighting or just talking, but I don't use my super hearing because it's made Alex mad in the past. Once Jonn is finished he looks at me for approval, I just nod. "Alex, I'll talk to you." I say pointing to my ear piece as Jonn and I walk out. Alex looks mad, or sad... I can't really tell. "It's not like she hasn't been left out of a mission for her own saftey before." Jonn says grumpily almost reading my mind. I shrug and continue following him till we are out on the street. I fly towards the nearest sewer and dive in.

When I get down there it smells gross, like rotting and decaying bodies... if I had to guess. I close my eyes and wish I had something to block out the smell, but I don't, so I head in. It's dark and cold down here and I get a really creepy vibe from being here. "I'm down here!" I say quietly into my ear piece, no response. I feel a breeze of air whisk past me, I throw my arms up ready to fight. "Who are you?" I ask, my voice full of confidence as I walk forward looking for the creature. I feel a cold, raged fist knock me to the ground. I pull myself up quickly and look around again, but its so dark I can barley see anything. "I won't hurt you, I just want to help." I say out of breath, already. I feel another slap in the face, this one somehow harder and colder. I fall to the ground with a grunt. "Kara, are you alright?" I hear in my ear piece, I take a deep breath trying to stand up, but I can't. "Alex." I call out quietly into my ear piece "I can't move." I use all of my strength trying to push myself up, but nothing works.
