1 month later, In the Russian town of Tambov stood an massive building which was once one of the many prides of the Soviet Union, The Russian Cadets School. A massive structure housing thousands of 11 to 18 year olds who would be taught everything they would need to know in their future as military officers. although most of Russia was sleeping at the time of 5:30 the cadets were all sat in the cafeteria getting breakfast before their drills for the day with a TV blaring the national news network.
"Hey Elena, take a look at the news," one of the 14 year old boys stammered to a girl of the same age, her brown eyes looked over to the TV across the room, 'French A400 shot down' the screen read in bold letters accompanied by drone footage of the crash site, the plane had crashed over the hotel district of Chessy. From the plane and the building it's wing clipped on the way down, all that was left was a flaming wreckage with rubble and both civil and military ambulances on site although it was clear there was no survivors,
"In the early hours of this morning, a French A400 military transport plane was shot down by First Sons terrorists while evacuating civilians from the French capital. In the aftermath of this tragedy, The French government has requested a higher presence of military personnel from UN peacekeepers and the NATO countries who are already at there aid whilst also arranging emergency negotiations with President Putin and his military advisor later today to decide whether or not our forces will be deployed," The newscaster read.

"Holy shit..." Was all Elena could say as she continued to watch in shock along with everyone else,
"Yeah, I guess we're going to war." The boy sighed
"You must be some kind of genuis Dima." Elena replied sarcastically, not looking away from the screen.

"Can I have your attention cadets!" One of the instructors yelled calmly as he stood on top of an unoccupied table, "Your drills will be the same as any other day today, the only difference will be any room with either a TV or radio will be open all day. We don't know what the outcome of today will be but we do know that it won't change anything for at least today." He shouted trying to calm the crowd of cadets down from the state of shock they were in.

An hour passed with the cadets having been sent to their dormitories to prepare for the day and the instructors sat debating whether some drills should be cancelled, they settled on cancelling all drills that sent cadets off the academies grounds so they could focus more instructors on keeping them calm and under control.

When the call for cadets to go to their first drill of the day Elena had managed to get a radio to play the news station and set it up next to her spare short range CB with the button to talk constantly pushed down, so when she clipped her main CB onto her camo uniform she could hear the news constantly, before she hid her phone in one of her pockets since the instructors would surely have her running laps if they found it on her.

She arrived at the vehicle compound expecting to find a GAZ waiting for her to get on to go out into the town but only found a notice zip tied onto the fence reading 'All drills off base are cancelled until further notice.' Yet noticed that the Tigr's guns were armed and maintenance crews were preparing the trucks. As much as Elena wanted to see what was inside, she knew that if she was caught then the instructors would have no end with her so she simply turned around and made for the break room.

It was packed when she arrived. although she could manage to squeeze through the door she didn't manage to get very far in before she couldn't pass the wall of camo, the room was normally quite busy, but with the cancelling of everything off site it became absolutely packed with cadets easily surpassing the maximum occupancy limit.

A few hours went by and Elena had moved to her last drill for the day after the rest had been cancelled, she stood in the shooting rang holding an AKS74-U, although the First Sons use it's highly similar predecessor, The 47 was worthless in comparison.
"Ready!" the instructor yelled as the cadets on range checked their rifles one last time, "Aim!" the voice echoed as the rifles were pointed down range, "Fire!" the instructors voice boomed shortly followed by the sound of automatic gunfire. "Good hits," The instructor called out.

By the time they had finished the corridors were already showing a trail of cadets going towards the break room, listening in on the TV as well as possible, completely grid locking the corridors, Elena went to retreat to her dormitory to listen to what ever was causing everyone else to want to see so desperately.
