I hate parties. I really really do hate them. But this is my chance to become popular... if it weren't for May's connection with Isaac, I wouldn't have been invited. I always thought it would be fuckboys and skanks drinking and playing beer-pong while others smoke weed and pretend as if nobody notices.

I'm surprised myself that I'm so popularity oriented considering I have social anxiety and always say the wrong thing. I guess that's what makes me unique besides me being the only one in the school with long straight black hair and eyes so green but darkened to the core. Mud eyes, Webtoon demon, 'They win' art, fake Asian, Horsehair... I've heard them all.

But May doesn't seem to mind the attention drawn to her ginger hair always in two buns, nor the attention drawn by Maeve, her twin sister who only speaks in the third person and believes she is already dead.

There's a lot of strange shit that happens in my school, all normal for a school but abnormal enough to get questioned.

My computer dinged as I attempted to stay focused on my task at hand. Hacking school computers and changing grades pays fairly well. But that's all I'm known for.

"Iris! Did you get my algebra grade up?" A familiar and terribly annoying voice bellows down the hallway. Is she that stupid?

"Are you trying to get caught? Keep your mouth shut and get over here! Oh, and it's Ivy,"

Min Aram also known as Alice is the most popular girl at school. She has the boys wrapped around her finger, but Isaac was hers and only hers.

Alice's smile changed to a scowl as she walked up to me with her hands on her hips.

"Speak to me like that again, and I'll make a broom out of your shaggy ass horsehair. Now, my grades?"

Bitch...

"Y-yeah... All A's,"

"Good. Now, email it to me by tomorrow mud eyes,"

"Alice! Come on. Leave her alone. She fixed your grades. Not to mention, she has your school ID now," May came around the corner into the clubroom, followed by Maeve.

"What?! That wasn't part of our deal!"

"I-It's n-not optional..."

"Ugh. May... just give her the damned thing."

May smiled and handed me an envelope.

She watched eagerly as I opened it to find an invitation to a party at Isaac's house.

I peered over at Isaac.

"What? You've saved my ass multiple times. Here. I just sent you 300 on PayPal."

And with that, he left with Alice behind him. She looked back at me and winked.

"How on earth did you convince her!?" I looked at May, who was pointing to Maeve.

"Maeve painted her nails for free! She must be ghost too!" Maeve smiled and bowed to me. "Maeve is proud to serve the seer!"

Maeve always called me 'the seer' since I never pretended I couldn't see her... The girl isn't dead.

May was about to speak, but my computer started glitching. It cut to a picture of some sort of being with a rope around its neck...

"What the fuck?!" May stepped back.

All the televisions in the clubroom turned on and showed the same picture. I stood up and ran into the hall to find that everyone's phones and all the announcement televisions had it up too. The speaker turned on and the sound of... what sounded like a swing played throughout the school.
