"what page are we suppose to be on?"
"47."
"thanks, honestly i dont know how i'd pass this class if you werent my seat partner." jay smirked while turning the glossy pages in the textbook.
"always here to help." I responded with my lips pursed trying to hide my smile.
suddenly my phone buzzed from my jean pocket
i looked up at mina from across the room and shook my head at her. Sometimes she can really be the most unbelievable. The only time Jay talks to me is for answers to the test and to recite the lesson to him when he isnt paying attention. I wish it could be more than that, even with the feelings that are existent with him i want to get to know him.
1 week later
As i walked closer and closer to mina the sight of her became clearer. My eyebrows furrowed as i saw the rolled up posterboard and flowers held tightly in her hand. A crowd around her started to build as well as my curiosity.
"mina?"
"finally youre here now help me with this poster."
she unraveled the white thick poster from its rubber band with the the bouquet of flowers in her other hand.
"mina whats going on?" I panicked in fear
"read!" mina demanded pointing her index finger at the poster
Jay, will you go to the dance with me? -Leslie the poster read
my mind raced and my heart beat sped i wanted to scream.
"Mina what the hell why are you-"
"HE'S COMING!" Mina shouted and the crowd created 2 separate lines across from one another creating a pathway to mina and i with their phones out to record.
Soon, a guy came from the school doors with jay right behind him. Jay gazed at the crowd with a look of confusion until his eyes met with the poster. He nervously bit his bottom lip as he walked closer and closer, the crowd following his every step with their phones.
