"Alright thats it for today team we've got a game coming this Friday so practice will be everyday this week now go change."

I got into the locker and hit the showers. I slid into a stall  and turned the handle that released the warm rush of water mantled over my body. I ran my finger through my hair and closed my eyes trying to feel relaxation after hours of practice.

Moments later i wrapped my towel around my waist and headed to my locker where the other guys on my team were changing.

The locker room was exactly what you think it is, sweaty, hot, and loud. But that was the thing that made it most like home.

I went to my locker in-between my friend Minho and another guy on team i wasnt close with but we were on the same team so we were automatically family.

I put my basketball jersey in my adidas duffle bag and changed into my gray sweatpants and dark blue nike tshirt.

"Saw what happened at lunch." Minho spoke quietly to me as he put his gear into his locker.

"Its nothing just a miscommunication."

Minho was a really close friend of mine i knew i could trust, ive been friends with him since middle school and hes never changed. Once he even let me sleep the night at his house when i got into a big argument with my dad, he's always been there by my side and i couldn't ask for anyone better.

"Isnt is it time you stop making girls cry?" he laughed and playfully pushed my shoulder.

I smirked slightly and shook my head.

I opened the front door to the aroma of delicious food. I walked into the kitchen and greeted my mom.

"Smells good!"

"Jaebum how was practice?"

"Great actually we have a game coming up friday." I responded.

"Perfect, now Dinner will be ready soon!"

I laid my duffle bag on the floor and rested on the living room couch. I leaned my head on a couch pillow and closed my eyes, the sound of the tv and the hot kitchen stove in the background.

Tv: this just in, a 2 car crash on highway 4 the story is progressing, both drivers are in critical condition an ambulance is on their way, the 2 drivers go by the name of Leslie Sanchez and Emily Reese

My head popped forward and my eyes opened wide as my mind tried to puzzle together what i just heard.

Tv: there is immense impact on both vehicles and the victims are be taken to the hospital, the traffic is piling up as the police investigate this tragic accident

"Mom ive got to go." I snatched my car keys from the coffee table and ran for the door

"Jaebum? Jaebum? Where are you going dinner is almost ready!"

"Jaebum!" My mom yelled but i was already out the door.

"let me see her god damn it!" I said to the doctor outside of the hospital room door. My breathing hitched as the hot tears came running down in episodes.

"M'am i know you're worried but we're performing a procedure and no one but the doctors can enter the room."

"J-just tell me shes fucking ok!" I yelled once more choking on my words
