The Archivist | Location:Nexus-1, Cirpes
The Archivist sank deeper into his antique Earth armchair as Liszt's 'Mephisto Waltz' flooded his auditory canals. The piece was playing from all around the library - there were speakers located every few metres throughout the room, hidden high on the ceilings, or as a standing on the floor; vintage Earth-designs.The brand-new Nexus Databank; sleek, modern, compact and located on Cipres, one of Venes' moons had been and was still under construction at that time. The Archivist is a picky individual anyway, thus is why said construction took so long to complete. He expected his all-new took-up-half-the-moon library to have been built from the finest of materials.
The library was, although lacking in size when compared to the original Nexus (dubbed Nexus-Prime), it's just as impressive a feat of human architecture. As aforementioned, a much more modern approach was taken to the construction of said building.
Unlike the previous Nexus, the one on Cipres consisted of multiple separated structures, all inside a much larger compound. The compound consists of a museum, art gallery, research laboratory and of course, the library irself; where the Archivist spends most of his time and has an observatory which was rather redundant given the entirety of the compound was on a barren moon.
(Although I doubt it, if anyone is interested, do check out 'The Ark' from Infinity Blade 3. The interior design of its first floor is rather similar to what I have in mind for Nexus-1's library, only sleeker and more minimalistic.)
