Exchange of Hearts

Chapter 7

After an hour or so of travel, we have finally arrived in our destination, did everything that we've wanted it to be just like the old times. We've spent 4 hours or so there, everyone had fun, I guess? I myself enjoyed too. I felt the little girl in me alive, there was pure happiness and my heart seemed to open for mom. Finally, we're home. I went straight to my room and opened my messenger.

My phone keeps on vibrating, I guess those were the missed messages that I haven't red yet. I was scrollinh up & down, then saw a message from Zeus.
Zeus: Hi, Venus!
         : Sorry, I ditched our plan for today. My bad!
         : I..
         : Can you message me when you're home already? Or atleast, online?

*Upon reading those messages, I immediately replied and he's online. Our conversation started
Venus: Zeus, it's okay! My mom's here again. I had time to spent the day with the fam. No worries!!
Zeus: Oh wow! Tita's back again. Hehe!
Venus: yes, I guess? Not sure until when.
Z: ahh that's fine. Anyways, missed talking to you!! We've been too busy.
V: hahahha. Yes!! Hang soon? How was the concert anway?
Z: it was great! Thank you so much. Went with my kuya, since I wasn't able to ask you out.
   : yes, let's hang soon.
V: hahaha. Glad you enjoyed and kuya Philip!!
   : Yep, Let's meet!! When?
Z: before I leave.. Hehe
V: huh? Where are you going?
Z: haven't I told you?
V: TOLD ME WHAT???
Z: I.. We're leaving for good! We're migrating.. To Australia?
V: Oh, wow... Congrats
*Upon reading that conversation, my heart broke into pieces and started crying.
Z: sorry, I wasn't able to tell you right away :(
V: nah, it's fine.
   : anyway, can I rest now? Goodnight
Z: venus,don't...
   : can you go outside?
V: for what?
Z: please??

*Went outside our house and saw Zeus waiting. He came near me and hugged me tight, he cried and uttered "Sorry, If I have to leave you. I was also shocked when I heared that we are leaving soon." I was in shocks and just hugged him back, asked if he wants to go inside, but he refused. He wiped his tears and smiled at me, assuring that he'll always be there. He asked if I would love to have a roadtrip, I went inside to ask permission and my parents approved. He drove all the way out of nowhere and we shared stories as if it was our last day.

We spent the night together, laughing at the most silliest and hilarious experiences, realized our lessons from what life thought us and other topics that seemed to mold us both individually. As we were killing time in a convenient store and eating ice creams, he gave me something. A small box that has a necklase inside of it, a locket that has our picture together with a letter inside. "We may be miles apart, but our hearts will never be apart"

I just looked at him out of shock, he gave me his sweetest smile, held my hand and asked if he could drive me home. Moments like that, where I  wished that it would not end.
V: thank you! Thank you for tonight.
Z: will always be thankful for you. You're welcome!
V: so, goodnight?
Z: ahh, yep, goodnight!!
*Went inside our house and he waited until I was able to get in, then he left. As I was walking inside my room, I was holding the necklace that was around my neck, and whispered to myself "Life is wonderful after all"!
