Exchange of Hearts

Chapter 4

As I enter our house and saw Apollo walk away, I tried to recall what he said. I guess, it's true. "Ahhhh, Stop Venus!! Stop. No, no. You cannot fall in love with your best friend.. Just, no." - I tried to convince myself all night, then I got tired & decided to freshen up, because I had a long day after all.

"Ahhh finally, beeeed." *grabbed my phone and checked my social media accounts*  "Oh wow, pictures from Zeus' birthday party. Hmm, how is he? Did he enjoyed his gifts and his party? Should I call him? Hmmm. Maybe not." I decided not to call him that night and gave myself a sleep.

Around 7am my alarm rang, since it's weekend anyway, I decided to stay a bit longer in bed and devour myself to sleep. I was sleeping peacefully until, *krriiiing krriiiing* "hello??" I answered with a low monotone kind of voice. "Hey, Venus! Good morning! Did I woke you up??" the person on the other line uttered. "ahhhh, yes? Who's this?",  "It's me, Zeus!! I just want to thank you for giving me this concert ticket as a gift. You don't know how happy I am. Hehe". When I head that it was Zeus, I got up from the bed, and replied to what he said.

Unaware of the time, after endless topics, I asked Zeus if enjoyed his party. With happiness in his voice "Yes, I did! Thank you for being there. Sorry, I wasn't able to talk to you last night. Wanna hang out?", when I heard it, I immediately respond with a "Yes". We've settled where and what time to meet, ended the call and I decided to go outside my room, and do my usual saturday routine. As I get down from my room, can't help it but to smell what Mama was cooking. Hugged her and greeted her good morning.

While we were eating:
Mama: "Venus, I heard that Apollo and his family are back. Have you seen each other?"
Venus: Yes, Ma. I was with him last night after the Zeus' celebration.
Mama: Oh, okay. So, I guess you're both okay.
Venus: Yes, Ma.
*It's a rare scenario where my mom would ask me about my friends. I don't know, why. As we were having our breakfast, my younger brother asked me how was the party. Dad just stared at me, looking as if waiting for my response if I'm kilig or not. "Oh, it was fun. There were lots of people! His family and friends were all there. Hehe!" after saying that, Dad looked away and focused on his eating.

As I was cleaning the table, I saw dad in our garden, trying to fix something - an unusual scenario. He never fixes anything, until we asked him to do so, since he had long tiring hours of work. So, I asked Mama what Dad is fixing, with a smile on her face, she replied "You dad is just making himself busy. Nothing more. He just want to relax from all those works". Fast forward, I went up to my room and checked my phone. An unread message was received and it was from Apollo, asking if I'm free today to go out and join him with our other friends for a reunion. I, politely rejected his request and told him the reason why.

Out of nowhere, I went back to my bed and set my alarm to wake me up. I don't know why, but I felt tired from all of these school works and activities that I had lately. A power nap will help to give me some rest. Heard my alarm, got up from my bed and decided to prepare myself for my hang out with Zeus later. *knock, knock*
"Yeesss??", "Venus, we're leaving now. Are you sure you don't want to come with us?". Okay, that was Mama, so I opened my door, kissed her on her cheek and said "No, mama. I have my own plans today. Take care, okay? Call me if Mom is already with you" she nodded. I continued preparing, heard my Dad and little brother's goodbye to me.
