Ch. 30-Visit to the Hospital

.What do we do now? Felix is making me see my mom. She might not even be alive! Right?

"Should we visit the hospital first?" I ask Felix.

"Yeah, I guess. See if Marzia is okay."

"That's my boy." I say as I pat Felix's back.

We get to the hospital and walk inside. Seeing a nurse on the phone, then hangs up.
"Oh! Felix! I was just about to call you! Marzia is awake and wants to see you."
I look up at Felix and he looks down at me. I nod my head and we both walk through the hospital hallway. Coming to the door of Marzia.
Felix opens the door and sees Marzia sitting up on her bed.
"Hello Felix!" Marzia says. Felix stands there. Eyes wide. Tearing up.
"Do I not get a hi back?" Marzia chuckles.

"Marzia. I misses you!" Felix says, running up to hug Marzia.

"Hey Jollie!" She says and waves.
I walk up to hug her.

"I thought I've never see you again." Felix says with tears.

"Doctor said I was lucky. They found an antidote. He needed to talk to you."
Felix pulls away.

"The doctor? Why?"

"Don't know." Marzia replies.
As we enjoy our reunion, the doctor comes in and gestures Felix over.

Felix's POV.
I walk over to the doc. and he closes the door.
"As you can see, Marzia is awake."

"Yes! Thank you, doctor!" I say.

"But, there's a catch." The doctor replies. What does that mean?

"And..?"

"She won't be long."

"And your not gonna tell her?"

"No, sir."

"Why not? When it's someone's last days at a hospital, don't they grant there wish or something?"

"That's not how things work around here."

"Why?" I ask, starting to get mad.

"Because that's the way we do things. We don't have 'Make A Wish Foundation' here."

"Don't I donate enough money to have one?"

"Felix, that is for the antidotes. Not foundations."

I sigh after that lost comment.
"Why can't you tell her though?"

"Would you tell someone they're gonna die soon to this point on?"
I think about this question the Doctor asked me. I don't want this to happen.
"I've gotta go. Marzia is ready to leave at your please."

How? How will I know? How will she know? Can I tell anyone? I'll be alone all over again.
