Lily was walking home from school with Charlotte. They were really close friends and knew all each other's secrets however something was wrong today. Something just seemed a little... off. Charlotte was in a bad mood and Lily was trying to figure out why but she just couldn't. They talked as usual but something still seemed a little strange between them and Lily just couldn't figure out why. Lily decided that she wasn't going to spend a lot of time worrying about something that Charlotte didn't even seem to notice so they both went home and thought nothing of it. They agreed to meet up at breaktime at school the next day...

The next day went by as normal until lunch time. Lily heared romours Charlotte had been talking about her behind her back. Lily was devestated and told Charlotte that their friendship was obviously meaningless and never to speak to her again.

It was awkward in the next class as they had to sit together. Not a single word was uttered as everyone had heard about what happened and you could slice the tension with a knife. Lily had cried for an hour straight on her friend, Alicia's, shoulder and was struggling to hold tears back when she saw Charlotte again. Why did Charlotte say such things? Was it her fault? Did she say something wrong. the questions kept circling through her mind throughout the rest of the lesson and she began to feel guilty.

She was interupted by the school bell signalling the end of class and everyone had left the room before she even got her things. She felt alone now Charlotte didn't wait for her but it was ok. They would be together again soon. She had a plan!

Lily followed Charlotte hold quietly. For five days she repeated the process. From 4:30 p.m to 9:20 p.m she would sit in the tree outside Charlotte's bedroom window and she memorized her routine. Every little thing she did was jotted down in Lily's Hello Kitty journal, the one Charlotte got her for her birthday last month. Charlotte had a matching one in pink and they would doodle throughout math and history. They both hated those subjects and the teachers didn't care.

After the five days Lily decided it was time to put her plan into action and she got her blue checkered rucksack ready. It was a Sunday and Charlotte's parents would come to wake her up early for church. Lily couldn't wait any longer and she didn't have much time. Everything had to be perfect so she made sure everything was. You see something snapped in Lily that day. She'd had enough!

When Charlotte's parents had gone to bed Lily climbed through Charlotte's bedroom window. She removed the special items she had in her rucksack. She would make this special. First, to make sure nobody would hear, she put a cloth in Charlotte's mouth and bound her wrists and ankles with rope. She then place 5 candles were the 5 points of a star would be around her before lighting them. She quietly sprayed Charlotte's favourite perfume around and sprinkled pink and yellow rose petal around the room because yellow is Lily's favourite colour and pink is Charlotte's.

Lily then continued with her work. She got out a package from her rucksack. In there were two long white dresses that the pair had worn for Lily's aunt's wedding on the beach. The floaty skirts made them look like angels. It made Lily look like a blonde haired mermaid and Charlotte's tanned skin and dark hair made her look like a hawaiin godess. Lily dressed charlotte and herself in the dresses and put their matching gold anklets on. She smiled. They looked beautiful.

Finally, Lily removed a dagger and a box from her bag and...

Cut Charlotte's bonds she then removed the lid from the box. This was it. The time. She woke Charlotte up...

When Charlotte awoke Lily was sat on the floor with a cake in her hand and the room looked fabulous. A tear dripped down her cheek.

"Oh Lily," She cried, "It's beautiful!"

"Charlotte I'm sorry I believed those terrible rumours about you," She apoligised, "I hope you can forgive me."

The two girls were best friends again by the end of the night. There friendship remains unbroken...
