13 || Something Stranger

"Remember when this all started?" I ask. Millie and I are standing in front of the doors to the school on Saturday night, the night of the Halloween Bash. And we're going together.

"Yeah. It feels so long ago." Millie smiles and threads her hand through mine. It's a little nerve-racking, but I know it's better than hiding.

"I mean, it was only, like, a week ago when we were just watching Stranger Things and hanging out and then..." I smile slightly.

"Then we discovered something stranger," Millie finishes for me. I grin at her.

As we walk into the dance hand in hand, we get a couple looks, but I don't care. 

I try to ignore all the negative thoughts as I dance with Millie. We're wearing our Eleven and demogorgon costumes, and the whole night is really just surreal. Look at how far we've come.

Afterwards, Veronica, Karolina, Dacre and the two of us go to Pascal's and it is a little awkward (the love triangle) but we have a good time.

This is my family. This is where I was meant to be. And who I was meant to be with.
