~~~~~~~~You think you're better than me?~~~~~~~~
Don't you like what you see?
I think it's best we agree to disagree
I'm doing fine by myself
I never asked for your help
~~~~~~~I believe it's best we agree to disagree~~~~~~~

   Pack runs were always my favourite thing to do with my pack; it's a time where we all come together and run side by side, from old to young. We run. Allowing our wolves to feel the protection and security our pack has to offer every one of us. It feels blissful to have the wind wrap around us as we dash off into the forest. The sound of the dried up leaves and sticks crinkling and crackling under our paws. The smell of pine and rain were my favourite scents in the forest.

   I was running next to my Father, who was the Alpha and my Mother, who was the Luna. Together we lead our pack run with warriors on the sides at all time in case rogues crossing the border. Although most of us can fight, the unarmed and untrained pups aren't. Therefore we have more warriors on their sides than on us that can protect ourselves.

   I glanced behind me to check on my fellow pack members, making sure they were all able to keep up. I noticed one of our pups tripped over his paws and decided to fall back. I gently nudged his side to make sure he was still good to carry on with the run. When I got a wolfy grin in return, I knew he was alright. So we went off to catch up with the pack.

   Eventually, we caught up to the pack, but I could tell the pup was getting tired, he was continually losing his balance, and his eyes slowly began to droop. Just as he was about to collapse, I clamped my teeth into the back of the pups neck, lifting him on my back. I made my way to the front of the pack and noticed the pup had shifted back.

   Once I was back at the side of my parents, and my brother my mother glanced at me and then to the sleeping pup on my back, letting out a wolfy grin as she licked my cheek lovingly.

   ''You'll be a great mother one-day sweetpea'' My mother mind-linked me allowing her feelings to flow through to me and all I felt was love and adoration a mother has for her child.

   Once the pack run was over and we were all back in the sanctuary of our back garden, I heard one of the pack mothers call out for her little boy, who I almost forgot was fast asleep on my back. I decided to make my way over to the mother and gently nudged her leg.

   ''Oh my boy! Hope he didn't cause you trouble Scar'' She spoke softly as she gently lifted the young pup off of my back allowing me to shift back. Once I had put my clothes back on, I stared up at the woman and smiled.

   ''No pack member of mine will ever be trouble to me, besides my wolf loved it, she feels like she protected him, and in a way she did. None of the warriors noticed he fell behind Marie, which I will mention to my father'' I muttered out the last part, reminding myself to speak to father about it.

   ''That's very sweet of you, you'll make a great Alpha or Luna one-day Scar, now I better take Austin home and put him into bed, thank you again, Scarlett. Truly.'' And just like that the woman left carrying her son Austin with her, as I made my way inside my stomach growled in hunger. Of course, it would be after a run.

  Pack runs always makes me hungry afterwards. I silently chuckled as I hear my wolf Amora agree with me — that hungry wolf of mine.

'I'm pretty much the same person as you, just in wolf form' she muttered before huffing and laying down in the back of my mind. I chuckled and skipped my way over to the kitchen where the heavenly food was being provided.

   Once I was in the kitchen, the smell of bacon filled my senses, and if it could even be possible, it made my stomach growl even louder, which earnt me a few chuckles from my pack members surrounding me.

   ''Scar! Over here!'' I whipped my head around to see Aron with two plates of food, making gestures that one is for me.

   Aron was going to be the next Beta for our pack. He was my rock during my childhood, I don't think I could have gotten this far without him, and he likes to wind me up about it a lot. Not as much now though thankfully. We both have had to leave our childish banter behind as we prepare to take over from our parents.

   I took a seat next to him and went to grab one of the plates of food he held in his hand. But being the mean best friend he is he slipped it out of my grasps making it so I couldn't reach the plate. He kept doing this until I began to pout and ask him of the food in a whiny voice.

   ''Arooooon...give me the food for wolf sakes'' Which only made him move the plate further away, so I did something that'll make him give me the food. I slapped the back of his head and grabbed the plate of food while he sat there rubbing his head mumbling about how I was such a bully to him, which earned a chuckle from me.

   I stayed talking to Aron for a few hours before I started getting uncomfortable sitting on the kitchen stools. It was time for a movie night with my best friend and my wolf agreed. We haven't spent as enough time with Aron as we have liked to, not with all the Alpha and Beta training that we've been put through.  So I decided to grab his arm and haul his massive butt off of the stool and dragged him to the couch in the living room where we decided to put a movie on called Happy Death Day.

   Halfway through the movie, Aron went and got both of us blankets and a cup of hot chocolate each, with whipped cream, marshmallows and sprinkles. When he returned, we resettled down into our cosy blankets and finished the film. Well, he did. After getting all comfortable and warm, I rested my head on his shoulder, and before I knew it, sleep came to me and welcomed me into the darkness.
