Cabin Fever

Arrival

"Okay cool i'll be there at five" I reply to Sandra's text. I finish packing my bags as I play some music, I'm going on a cabin trip with my friend if you haven't known me then I guess I'll introduce myself. I'm Natalie Grooves I'm 21 and I'm from Saint Paul Minnesota. I'm on my way to a cabin my friend Douglas's rich parents rented put for him in Minneapolis 'cause his parents was tired of him living with them or something like that.

Anyways, all I can say is that I'm so excited to go its been a while since i hung out with my crew. Just then my phone buzzes. Its Emily "Hey girl when are you coming?! We are all waiting for you don't be late :-("
I roll my eyes as I reply "Hey don't

worry I'm on my way" I put my phone in my pocket. I get my suitcase and making sure I got everything before going to my car. As I drive I blast my favorite tunes "These expensive, these is red bottons, these is bloody shoes!" I try making my best Cardi B voice. A thousand songs later I reach the cabin. Oh you dont know my friends?! Well let me tell you, I have four; Sandra, Emily, Douglas, and Kirt.

Sandra and I have been friends for three years she's always been there for me. Emily and I met in College we used to be roomates then we drifted off as all time besties. Douglas been friends since middle school so year I guess forever. And Kirt, oh yeah Crazy Kirt. I met him at a party, he's nicknamed "The Keg stang king" no lie I found him drunk as hell when we first met.

He asked me out many times but I always told him no. Anyways I get out the car. I go up to the door to see the cabin completely empty. I go around back to look in the windows, I then feel something touch me, I jumped up and scream to hear two familiar laughs "Oh boy Natalie that never gets old" saye one familiar voice. I quickly turn around "Emmy!" I give Emily a hug, she hugs back. "Oh I missed you" she says with a smile.

Then I notice the other person, it was Douglas, "hey!" I smile hard. I give him a big hug he hugs back. "Hey I never known how short you were" he teases. I roll my eyes at him. "So where is everyone?" I say puzzled. "Oh everyone's inside" Douglas says grabbing my suitcase out my hands. "Oh dang we're only staying for the weekend" Emily giggles. I roll my eyes once again.

We head inside the cabin to find Sandra sleeping on the ugly green sofa. I decide not to wake her knowing that its rude to wake up someone in a deep sleep. I walk passed her and goes into the kitchen. I see Kurt digging in the fridge. I stop in my tracks. He finally sees me before setting what ever concotion he found to get drunk off of.

He spoke up "hey" his voice was a little deep, kinda gruff as if he got into an argument. He had on a green tshirt and cargo shorts, classic Kirt and it seemed that he got muscular or something. "Hello?" He says as I memorize his body. "Oh hi" I finally say. He just sat there. "So how have you been? Been a while right?." "Well two months is pretty long so..." My voice trails off. It then came an awkward silence between us. Thank goodness Sandra woke up. 'Cause she yelled my name. "Natalie?!"
