Anemone walked beside her Aunt down the long shell-decorated hallway. There was a pot of some sort of SeaGrass
"Aunty Alby, how come you weren't Queen?" Anemone asks the dark blue and grey dragoness next to her.
She always wanted to be queen, to have the Phoenix Feather... she would have been unstoppable with her moonborn powers and the magic of the Phoenix Feather. Just to think about that made Anemone feel more confident as she touched stones.
She took a look outside of the pillars that were lining the hall the two dragonesses were in. Outside, fish and sharks swam around the castle, bubbles everywhere. Of course, the sharks wouldn't be able to break in.
The castle was nice and firm, made of stone and other things like sea quartz, which was a beautiful color changing thing, usually dark blue though. It almost camouflaged into the sea just so the Mer Creatures couldn't find the dragons and attack.
"I just, didn't think I would be able to. Your mother is older than me, stronger, and all that other stuff. She was born to be queen." Albatross replied with a smile.
"Oh. Do you know any magic?" Anemone asked, touching every stone in her path, making sure not to skip one. They were under water, so she had to swim as she did this.
"No, I was never taught." She replied, sighing. "That's okay though. If I get hurt, you'll be there right?" Anemone's Aunt joked.
She looked at her, dedicated. "Yes! Of course I would, I wouldn't let my Aunt get hurt, or anyone! Even Spring!"
They walked a little further, and Anemone got upset about missing a stone in her path, and Alby laughed at her. For some reason, they were going to the exit of the castle.
She did not like the outside. The water was a bit different. Maybe the water in the castle was a lot cleaner to keep everything healthy and good.
"I want to show you something." Albatross said. "It's special, and it's highly protected."
In front of them, there was the stronghold. Coral and other plants covered it at the bottom, and the amount faded toward the top. This was filled with gems, necklaces, and any sort of treasure that the queen found, or received.
"Whoa..." Anemone gasped in awe. She had never seen that much coral. Maybe she had, because she was told she was taken to the coral reef as a small dragonet. "What is it?" She asked, looking at her aunt.
She laughed, and put her wing over her. "The Stronghold. It holds many treasures... that hopefully one day you will be able to hold and call them your own." Albatross looked down at her with her lavender eyes.
Hopefully one day you will be able to hold them and call them your own... Anemone thought for a moment. The words echoed in her head. "Is the Phoenix Feather there?"
Alby looked at her a little concerned, Anemone took that as a joke. "I don't think so. It might at some times, when your mother is at a party and she doesn't want anyone to steal it."
"Really?" Anemone beamed.
"Yes, just so it won't be stolen."
But what if I steal it?
