                                                Ankhesenamun

“Hurry” I cried as I was carried through the long, dark hallways of the palace as I felt another sting of pain in my abdomen ‘It’s too early’ I screamed to myself.

“Alexandria, go get the mid-wives, and hurry” Tutankhamun cried as he hurried to my chambers, I looked over and Alexandria turn a corner and rush down a different hallway. When Tutankhamun and I finally reached the birthing chamber in my chambers, he stayed with me till Pentu and the mid-wives came with Alexandria and her mother, and they’d kicked him out of the room.

“Thank the Gods that you two are here” I sighed when Alexandria and her mother were by my side

“Of course, we want to help” Alexandria’s mother said as she and her daughter took my hands into their.

A few hours later, the chief mid-wife finally called out “The baby is crowning my lady” I groaned as I pushed with all of my might, and before I knew it the baby was out and was spanked, but there was no sound, and I all ready knew that it was like my last baby “How bad is it?” I asked as I was cleaned

            “Not good my lady”

            “Explain” I demanded

“Well I’m afraid that the child is worse than the last” I let out a cry of pain as I buried myself in Alexandria’s stomach crying, and she hugged me tightly

“I’m so sorry Ankhesenamun; I wish I can do something for the baby”

“But you can time travel; can’t you do something for my baby?” I whispered to her

“I’m afraid not, I still don’t know how to use my talent, and if I did know, then I would go to my own time and get something that would save your baby, I’m sorry” I hugged her again. When Tutankhamun, Alexandria’s father and brothers entered a few minutes later a few minutes later, Tutankhamun looked around eagerly

“Where’s the baby?” he asked, I could see the excitement in his young, doe like eyes. I felt saddened by the loss of our baby because today was his nineteenth birthday

“I’m afraid that Anubis is trying to ruin your birthday my lord” I replied sadly as the light in his eyes and face flicker out as he ran to me and hugged me tightly

“Oh Ankhesenamun, my beautiful wife, everything’s going to be okay, we still have time” he whispered to me

“Right, we won’t worry because Alexandria gave you an heir and you no longer need me since I can’t give you beautiful babies”

“But my lady, I’m sure that the babies were beautiful”

“But they were deformed” I wined

“That wouldn’t have mattered they would have been beautiful to us” he smiled sadly

“Right, you two can still try and have a baby” Alexandria said as I put my head on my pillow

“Thank you, I think I’m going to rest” I watched as Tutankhamun shooed everyone, except Alexandria away

“We’ll help you through this” Alexandria said as she and Tutankhamun lied next to me.
