Everything is over.

MATT

I went to backstage, there were all the people you would see at a dingy club, girls ran everywhere, boys lined up for their turn and Ed the owner, stood near the back door. He grinned at me and patted on my back. I was the youngest singer to perform at his club. Good for him that I could keep up with all the older college kids and good for me that I could. But it still bothered him that ETHEREAL, the front man of most popular indie band of Wells community college is a high school senior.

I walked to the bar, our bass player Max was already nursing whiskey on ice while talking to one of the patrons.

"Jack and Coke, please" I said to the waitress who approached me as soon as I sat on the barstool.

"I hope you are not repeating that!" I heard Tony's concerned voice. Even if he spent most days banging drums, the man always got brotherly protective when it came to me. And why not? He always saw me toiling at my father's auto workshop and studying and working in whatever free time I managed to get to practice for our band. Back in the time, Tory asked me if I wanted to sing for the band, I had no reason to accept besides the fact that I would get to meet girls even back then only one girl mattered. Her bright blue eyes were noticeable even through her glasses, dirt blonde hair was always plaited and sweet smile was unmatched. But I was inexperienced and hopeless when it came to opposite sex.

But now everything was different, everything was over.

"Do you have a fake ID, or what" Max said.

"Shshh! Somebody will hear you" I whispered back. He was just messing around.

MARTHA

I got of the train. It was strange being here. As I looked up, I spotted dark clouds in the sky and a billboard that said "COME ONE COME ALL. The best place to live in merringhurst, Penn."

The best place to live, I thought again but nothing came to my mind. I was as lost as a plastic bag floating in the air.

But I have to do something about it, I can't live like this anymore. That's why I am here; in merringhurst, Pennsylvania. My best friend Lily Anderson used to live here. But after........... all that happened to her, I had to take matters in my hands. I might be lost today but whoever was responsible for her troubles has to pay.

"Sir, how can I get to Olive street?" I asked an elderly man dressed in jeans, plaid shirt and a puffer jacket. But he didn't reply. I tried again this time loudly, but no reply. I shrugged and started walking. The sky turned darker with every doubt that filled my mind. I was here on my own. My parents didn't know about me traveling to penn, just to find about a friend I knew through internet chats.

"Hi!" I heard a voice, a boyish voice.

I turned around to see a little boy standing near the gates.

"Oh, Hi! Do I know you?" I asked him.

The boy giggled like it meant nothing. I was relieved to meet someone like him. He must be 8. He was wearing dark blue jeans and a grey sweater, his clothes brought out the blues in his eyes. He looked nice and oddly familiar.

"Come on, Chad" she heard a girl call out.

"Hello" I said as she approached us.

She had a terrified expression on her face as she stood in front of me. I was startled by everything happening with me. The girl picked the boy whose name maybe was Chad. And started towards the parking lot.

"Miss, Can you tell me how to get to Olive street?"

The girl looked back, looking shocked. I suppose she just looked that way.
"I live there I'll take you" she said.
"Wow! thanks" I said.
"I am Martha, Nice to meet you!" I said holding up my hand for her to shake.

"Hi! I am Kris" she said her uncomfortable body language speaking for her. But I had to get there and this was my only chance.
