The hall lights were glittered with hysterical nurses, rushing around in utter confusion. The hospital smelled of sweat, sanitizer, and fear as doors that read Do Not Enter, were entered without a moment's thought. Everything coming out of the large metallic doors were either sullied with thick blood, or ear-throbbing screams. Each nurse that entered with vulnerable ears always exited with an extorted expression, with yellow earplugs shoved into their head.

Anyone that heard the screams were quickly ushered to another part of the hospital with positive reassurances that everything was fine. When people are frightened it's easy to say everything is fine calmly to another when you clearly now it's not fine at all.

A short woman with a short floral dress that hugged her slender knees casually strolled around the hall. The clacks of her black heels echoing in down the pale corridor. Her face was like a triangle pointed downwards and had the sharp features of a hawk. The angles of her blank face were to sharp to be beautiful. With her ebonie hair tied neatly back in a tight bun, she escorted herself past the large forbidden doors with silence and ease.

The room was dimly lit, for the only light was large light fixture that glowed in the middle of the ceiling. Below the calming dim was a woman with a frail build, her stomach swollen and beaded with sweat under the white rays. Two nurses with bloodied hands gripped her pale ones with firm round faces as she screamed with pain. The nurse with the curling ruby hair patted her creased forehead with a cold cloth, the icy water dripped down to her temple, allowing the woman a few seconds of relief before the pain came again.

" It's going to be alright Elizabeth... Shhh... Not much longer now," the ruby-haired nurse cooed as she blotted Elizabeth's tensed neck with tenderness.

" John.... John! Where's John," Elizabeth screamed mournfully for her husband, tears flying down her soft cheek bones.

" I'm here, " John scurried to her side with another wet rag, patting her collarbone and neck gingerly.

Her face with no trace of pain his wife smiled lovingly and stretched out her weakened fingers, " John I-," the room was once again filled with her blood curdling wails.

Dumbstruck with horror and fear he raged, " Don't you bastards have any medication? She's in pain you idiots! Elizabeth is going to die from this birthing! Do you hear me? Get it out of her... NOW!"

He gazed fiercely at the doctor, who's hands were covered in his wife's blood, " As you wish..." The man's tan face turned grim as his eyes reflected amber specks in the dim-ylit room before he set to finish what was started.

" Do you think... Do you think it's a possibility that... This child is... Different sir," the doctor calmly stated as he reached the crown of the baby's head.

John's head cocked questioningly, " Different? How so," he gripped his wife's hand strongly.

Doc's forehead creased and his lips were set firmly into a fine line, " This... child? This.. child doesn't feel quite right."

Elizabeth's husband's eyes glazed over full of worry as she screamed like she was being hacked away to pieces, " Like a defect... maybe?"

The serious man mumbled, " Possibly.. PUSH!!!"

Screams echoed through the room like church bells, nurses covered their ears in fright, " I CAN'T!!!"

" YES YOU CAN PUSH," he screamed as Elizabeth pushed with what energy she had left. The newborn child slipped out easily into the doctor's large comfortable hands.

Before the doctor could even glance at the child, to even recall the gender John questioned, " Elizabeth! The baby.. you did it.. Oh I... Elizabeth?"

With a face white as sheet, sweat beading down his temple he whispered, " Doctor... Why won't she respond?"

The nurse with the ruby curls took in a sharp breath and took her pulse," I'm so.. sorry..."

Eyes widening brimming with tears he screamed, " NO!!!! She can't be... Elizabeth," John grabbed her shoulders and shook her lifeless body like a rag doll, " Wake up!!"

The doctor handed the crying body quickly to a nearby nurse and held the man back from the corpse, " She's dead! Stop!"

John dropped to his knees with shaking hands covering his face, tears dripping, " No.... She can't be.. Elizabeth... No..."

A blood-chilling squeal enveloped the room as the nurse with the child held the baby away from herself. Her face was frozen and her eyes wide with horror. Blood trickled down from her parted pink lips, trailed from her nose and eyes. A gagging sound erupted from her throat as a thick red blood bubble bursted, staining her teeth. Her lips moved slowly as if trying to form words but no sound came, more ruby liquid spilled and dripped from her chin.

" What the fuck," screamed Doc, reaching for the bleeding girl. With eyes rolling into the back of her head, knees buckling under, Doc grabbed the laughing baby quickly before the nurse dropped. Blood seeped from under the nurse into one thick black puddle.

The doctor held the giggling newborn away from himself," This child... MOther of God..." The doctor stared stupified, hands shaking with horror. IN response, the child only smiled with her deadly golden eyes…
