I was on my phone texting Nicki about Harvey and how nice he is!
Arriana: Harvey is like the only guy at our school that isn't a jerk Nicki: ikr! Arriana: oooh but I'm excited! Nicki: why? Arriana: because Harvey invited me to go to the park with him today Nicki: AHHHHH LOVE Arriana: 😂 No we are just friends Nicki: for now... Arriana: ??? I go through my closet figuring out what to wear. I see an outfit and put it on.

I'm all set and ready when I hear the doorbell ring. Harvey was here! I immediately remember that I'm not allowed to date. I know that me and Harvey are just friends but if my parents see me hanging out with a boy they would flip. I go downstairs acting like nothing and then my dad goes to open the door. In panic I go in front of him and say "ok um before you open the door I had plans with a friend and I forgot to tell you" he raises his eyebrows and says "with who?" I look down and say "his name is Harvey... I asked mom and she said that it was ok" he immediately gets mad and says " your friend is a boy!?" I nod my head and he said " you know the rules! You can't date!" I raise my voice and say "it's not a date! We are just friends!" He slaps me in the face and says "I don't care! No boys!" I start to cry and say "well what do I do now? He's already here!" I point to the door. He looks at the door and makes and evil grin. He opens the door and all I could see through my watery eyes is Harvey with a great big smile. Harvey starts with "hi is Arri- " my dad immediately cuts him off and says "um I'm sorry who are you?" Harvey says "oh um I'm Harvey Mills" in return my dad says " I believe you have the wrong house" Harvey's smile quickly goes away and he says "oh um sorry" and he walks away. All I could do is cry and I go upstairs to my room. I immediately text Harvey
Arriana: HARVEY! 😭 Harvey: what's wrong? Arriana: right now you were at the right house... Harvey: what do you mean? Arriana: so I told my dad that I had plans with you and he flipped out so that's why he lied to you.... I'm so sorry Harvey: oh I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to cause you two any trouble Arriana: it's not your fault I just really want to hang out with you Harvey: well I have and idea Arriana: what is it? Harvey: look outside your window I put my phone down to see Harvey outside on his bike. All I could do is smile of how sweet that was. Harvey says "hop on" I climb down and sit on his bike with him. He looks at me with a smile but then that smile quickly goes away "what happened to your face?" He asks in a worried tone. I look down and say " my-my dad slapped in the face" he hugs me and says " I'm sorry" I feel... I feel safe around Harvey, like I can trust him. He releases from the hug and I put my hand around his waist so I won't fall off of his bike. We get to the park to see that no one else was there. Weird. Harvey gets off and so do I and he says with a grin "face you to the swings!" He immediately starts running but i catch up to him and beat him. We both laugh and he says "how do you run so fast!?" I grin and say "I did cross country for a while" He says " oh wow, I could never do that, I'm not the most athletic person" I laugh and say "I can tell" he playfully frowns and we just continue to laugh. " well I bet you your girlfriend doesn't care if you're athletic or not... like that's just some perks" I say. Harvey says "well um I don't have a girlfriend" in shock I say " no way!" Harvey laughs. I say "why don't you?" He says in return "well I like this girl but I don't think that she likes me back" I got a little sad thinking that I had a chance with him. Silly girl. I say "well I think that you should just take a chance" Harvey asks "what should I say?" I say "just ask her but it should be romantic" Harvey raises his eyebrows, I laugh and say "just do it tomorrow, ok?" he says "well um I'm actually going to do it now" I say aww you're leaving me?" He grins and pulls out a necklace out of his pocket. I'm so confused but I don't say anything. He gets down on his knee and says " Arriana Leyvas, will you be my girlfriend?" I say in shock " THAT WAS SO SMOOTH MILLS!" He grins and I say "ok course I will" he smiles and says "May I do the honors?"I nod my head and he puts the necklace on me. I can't believe it. I'm dating my crush. Harvey smiles at me and all I can do is stare into his eyes. We continue to play around at the park until I get a text... it's from my dad. Harvey looks at me, knowing that something's wrong " what's wrong?" I look up and say "my dad knows that I'm gone" Harvey says "I don't want you to get hurt again..." I say "well what else can I do?" Harvey pauses for a minute and says " you can stay over at my house for the night" I say "but I have no clothes to bring" he says "you can wear mine" I contemplate for a second and say "all right Mills but we sleep in different beds" he laughs and says "all right, whatever my princess wants" I playfully roll my eyes and say "can you not call me princess? It's so basic" Harvey laughs and says " ok fine, how about... my little bear" I say "how about you call me Arriana?" He laughs and says "ok ok Arriana!" We walk to his house with his arm around me the whole time.
