What's it like to fall in love?
For me when I first laid my eyes on him the whole world stopped.
I felt my heart had constricted.
Ignoring the feeling I watched from afar.
Admiring the creature of light.
Fluffy chocolate hair.
Hazel nut eyes.
The stars in my eyes shined with admiration.
Until I saw a tramp locked lips.
My heart shattered.
My heart wretched with undesirable pain.
I knew it couldn't happen.
For my heart felt a squeeze.
Keeping a smile on.
Trying to stay strong.
Keeping in the stream.
He came over with the tramp.
Saying I love you.
Like a sister.
Just smiling and nodding.
Yet my eyes betrayed my facade.
I turned and walked.
Forgetting about finding the one.
Now oblivious to anything with relationships.
Scared to ever feel that heartache again.
So long ago.
Lost in a massive abyss it stays.
So long relationships.
Alone and single I stay.
Until the end of time.
It will return one day.
I shall be ready until then.
Love will find a way to enter our hearts once again.
It may end in heartache.
Or become a fairytale.
We'll have to wait and see.
