When I started this book I was excited and really wanted to continue my idea but if u haven't noticed i have like zero motivation for this book. Honestly my writing style choice is different and I really don't care for this one nor do I want to finish it because i know all the chapters will suck. I have no interest to continue this at all and I won't but if u still want the ending here was my original idea:
Maddie's best friend, Jackson, was always in love with her but finally excepted he couldn't have her because she loved Eliot so one day he tried reaching out to her, which she agreed, and told him about her and Eliot's break up. Therefore him being so driven in heartbreak and anger turned on her and blamed her; eventually he lashed out when she tried to talk him down and killed her in cold blood. He fled the area and the reason no one could find the killer is because after he realized his mistake he took his own life to join his true love and because he couldn't live with the remorse. Hence all in all the investigation was concluded as a cold case.
